Outstanding beer and wine selection. Food was excellent. Staff very knowledgeable. Owner is friendly and engaging.
Staff is really great and Brian makes it his mission to spend time with every table/every Guest. Indie is so relaxing and the food regardless of what you order is well prepared and really tasty. Indie is a place you can go all the time, weekly and have a great experience. Sit inside for table service. At the bar for great conversation or outside and listen to music and take in whatever weather SF has decided to throw out that day/night. Favorite spot in Sf by far!!
We sat outside around a fire pit (and with a heat lamp too) and shared the fries (yum!), the shishito peppers (👍) and several different tacos (all great!) and sampled several wines. Love their diverse list of wines both in terms of price range and varietals offered. I've never actually sat inside bc the outdoor space is so great.
A hidden gem! Wonderful outdoor space with many wine & food choices. Everything was tasty and the service was great. Very dog friendly, too. I'll be back!
We made a reservation for any available table days in advance. Not only did they not have a table ready for us, but they promised us a table for our large party once the other party left. We waiting in the lounge for an hour and a half. Once the other party left, another waitress sat a party of 3 there. We left without ordering food and even trying to close out was painful and required two reminders to the waitress.
Indie remains great, as it's been since opening. The wine is mostly moderate cost, a good value, wide ranging, and almost all available by the glass. The food is great, though a limited menu that does include a few full entrees. I like the home-made flat bread (pizzas) as an appetizer.
Lovely neighborhood restaurant in North Beach, very friendly staff, everything we ate was amazing
Indie wine bar has been consistently wonderful from the day it opened. They have a wide ranging, unique wine selection, almost all available by the glass and bottle, and moderately priced. Food is good too, though a limited menu. Service is always great.
It's now one of our favorite places to both eat dinner or just drink/snack with friends. Menu is great and the staff are just fantastic.
Could not have asked for better spot. The service, the wine and the food were fantastic. Highly recommend to small and large groups. A+++

The team at Indie Wine & Beer Bar is hands down the best. They are attentive, helpful, kind and always bring the best dishes / wine for my dinner parties. I love popping in after a day at the office or planning a team dinner. It is the perfect way to spend an evening.
The outdoor patio is lovely with a great view of the East Bay Bridge. There was ample parking as well. The servers were very attentive and it was a lovely space to gather with friends!
Absolutely love this neighborhood gem. The outside seating provides a beautiful view of the Bay Bridge, especially at night. The food is awesome - mahi fish tacos are to die for - and the wine recommendations are always spot on. The warm and friendly service though, takes the cake. Coming here is like going to your best friend's place for cozy meal with friends.
I love this place. It's nestled away in a quiet neighborhood of residences and small businesses and has a fabulous outdoor space. Great wine list with a lot of unique wines. Great small plates for sharing as well as for an individual wanting a glass of wine and something not too heavy. The staff are lovely!
Great find! large outdoor space. The outdoor area had warm lights, and heat lamps, and great for groups. The food was good and the service was fantastic. 2 min walk to Exploritorium, 15 min walk to Cobbs comedy, and easy to find parking in the area.
