Indie wine bar has been consistently wonderful from the day it opened. They have a wide ranging, unique wine selection, almost all available by the glass and bottle, and moderately priced. Food is good too, though a limited menu. Service is always great.

The team at Indie Wine & Beer Bar is hands down the best. They are attentive, helpful, kind and always bring the best dishes / wine for my dinner parties. I love popping in after a day at the office or planning a team dinner. It is the perfect way to spend an evening.

The outdoor patio is lovely with a great view of the East Bay Bridge. There was ample parking as well. The servers were very attentive and it was a lovely space to gather with friends!

Absolutely love this neighborhood gem. The outside seating provides a beautiful view of the Bay Bridge, especially at night. The food is awesome - mahi fish tacos are to die for - and the wine recommendations are always spot on. The warm and friendly service though, takes the cake. Coming here is like going to your best friend's place for cozy meal with friends.

I love this place. It's nestled away in a quiet neighborhood of residences and small businesses and has a fabulous outdoor space. Great wine list with a lot of unique wines. Great small plates for sharing as well as for an individual wanting a glass of wine and something not too heavy. The staff are lovely!

Great find! large outdoor space. The outdoor area had warm lights, and heat lamps, and great for groups. The food was good and the service was fantastic. 2 min walk to Exploritorium, 15 min walk to Cobbs comedy, and easy to find parking in the area.

Wine was very good. The staff was incredible and made sure we were comfortable. They moved the couch so that that I can be in the shade. They also, light up the Pitt when we were a bit cold. Will definitely come back.

Though the inside bar and restaurant are lovely, it's great in these times to sit on the outdoor patio around the fire pit or below the heaters, and enjoy the view of the twinkling Bay Bridge in the distance while you choose from so very many wine by the glass options, NorCal beers, and a menu with something to please everyone from carnivore to vegan. Whether you want nibbles, a main course, or dessert, there are fine options for all. Lobster roll with truffle fries especially good, as is the creme brulee. Staff was super accommodating to our 9-12 or so group.

Arrived with a group of seven. Staff is amazing but the owner has no appreciation for outstanding service. He sat and sipped wine while we waited to place our drink order. Food was not served hot. We made our displeasure known to the owner who appeared completely clueless.

The staff at Indie went above and beyond while hosting my firm's anniversary party on Msy 19th! They accommodated a party of almost 30 for a private sitdown dinner (with 2 courses) while keeping everyone with drinks in hand. Everyone who attended had a great time and has had nothing but great things to say about the venue, the food, the drinks and the superior team! Food was delicious and all of the wines exceeded expectations. We dined inside and enjoyed the overall atmosphere including the open kitchen. Outstanding service was provided by Charléne, Luis and Jennifer.

Despite being rather busy with a couple of large parties, the service was exceptional. We both had short ribs with mashed potatoes which were so tasty. Wine and food are all reasonably priced.

Indie Wine & Beer Bar is a gem in so many ways. The people are energetic, fun and hospitable plus the food, wine and location are exceptional. It's a hidden secret known mostly to the locals but welcoming to all. We have been to Indie on multiple occasions and have always had a fabulous time. Charlene and Luis are absolutely fabulous people who take exceptional care of all customers. They are always so warm and welcoming. The wine selection is extensive and reasonably priced. The food menu has a wide variety of items. Everything on the menu is delicious, reasonably priced and correctly portioned to satisfy an appetite. The venue has fabulous ambience. Seating inside is lovely. There are regular tables, high tops and counter seating for those who enjoy watching the chef prepare meals. Spacious outside seating includes a view of the bay bridge and it is pet-friendly. Parking around the restaurant is ample. There are only nice things to say about Indie and this review only highlights the more significant ones. This is our “go to” spot for routine meals and special occasions.
