Indie wine bar has been consistently wonderful from the day it opened. They have a wide ranging, unique wine selection, almost all available by the glass and bottle, and moderately priced. Food is good too, though a limited menu. Service is always great.

Found this hidden gym and am I excited ! Large clean space with an open kitchen. The back area is adorned by jazz greats, large tables with comfy seats. What's unique about this place is the owner, Brian. He's very knowledgeable about wine. Give him a varietal or name of a brand and he can provide exceptional recommendations. The wine list here is global- unlike nearby wine bars. Another bonus is the full kitchen! No more boring cheese and crackers. The experience here is all about elevating your knowledge and palate, if you choose. Super friendly staff and delicious food. Great spot for date night, work meetings or hosting a gathering of friends. Will be back to try something new. Been here a few times and service is always on point. East parking, outside patio has heated lamps but I like inside vibe. Will be back ! Thanks !!

The team at Indie Wine & Beer Bar is hands down the best. They are attentive, helpful, kind and always bring the best dishes / wine for my dinner parties. I love popping in after a day at the office or planning a team dinner. It is the perfect way to spend an evening.

The outdoor patio is lovely with a great view of the East Bay Bridge. There was ample parking as well. The servers were very attentive and it was a lovely space to gather with friends!

Found this restaurant only because noticed chalk board sign @ Levi Plaza down the street. A little difficult to find because high fence around outdoor seating blocks the entire front of the restaurant. We see potential and will likely return Interior: industrial chique with different areas and seating types. Service: we sat at bar at 530pm. Seemed to be busy preparing for the night when we arrived. Had to ask twice to place our drink order. Food arrived with no utensils or napkins. Twice. Server seemed irritated when we asked. Had to flag staff down to place order for more wine even though only a few guests were in restaurant. Food: So-so. Vegan pizza was soggy. Bread on cheese board was boring, dry and tasteless (Acme bread, please!). Kale salad was fresh. Broccoli soup fresh but needed a little seasoning.

Very good service, very tasty food. We had a sparkling wine and red wine to go with short rib and wagyu sliders. Ribs were so tender and mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious. Wagyu sliders came with truffle fries and they were fantastic. Pear and apple crisp was really good as well.

Very cool place to stop by and get a glass of wine at, we didn't get any food but it did look good too! They had sports on the TVs which I appreciated a lot too

This is right down from my work in the Financial District. Not easy to find since it's tucked away on Green St/Sansome. If you happen to walk down the Filbert St stairs from Coit Tower, this would be a decent place to stop by for a bite. We had the ceviche, truffle fries, brussel sprouts, rockfish (fried) tacos - everything was cooked well and more importantly, tasted great. The pear/apple cobbler wasn't quite what I was after (I like more crumble in mine - the top was flat across) but it was still tasty as well as the vanilla bean ice cream that came with it. Staff was super friendly and accommodating for our large group. Would definitely return again and glad we have a place so close by to our office!

Place is ideal for wine drinking! Not much food selection but their wine menu is worth the visit. The truffle Brie was also a pleasant surprise!

Absolutely love this neighborhood gem. The outside seating provides a beautiful view of the Bay Bridge, especially at night. The food is awesome - mahi fish tacos are to die for - and the wine recommendations are always spot on. The warm and friendly service though, takes the cake. Coming here is like going to your best friend's place for cozy meal with friends.

Tonight was my husband's birthday and I was too tired to cook or eat out. Passed Indie while walking the dog, as I had many times before but never stopped to eat there. Tonight I parked the dog outside, went in and asked if they did takeout. Got an affirmative, looked at the menu and was pleasantly surprised by the very reasonable prices for entrées that sounded very yummy. Chose the steelhead trout with fingerling potatoes and charred broccolini and the short ribs in a red wine reduction with mashed Yukon gold potatoes and roasted Brussels sprouts. Walked the dog home and returned 20 minutes later to pick up the food. My husband and I split the two entrées, so we could both try the two of them. Both were excellent! The beef short ribs were melt-in-the-mouth lush. (I make beef Bourguignon occasionally and this was comparable, but with a subtler, lighter sauce.) The mashed potatoes and balsamic roasted Brussels sprouts were also very good. The steelhead trout was rich and flavorful, cooked lightly (I'm guessing pan seared or grilled) to the point of easy flaking without being at all dry. I loved the treatment of the broccolini and enjoyed the sliced fingerling potatoes. Portions were just right--not humongous, not stingy---for two seniors with modest appetites. (I would've tried soup or dessert if I didn't have decadent birthday cake waiting at home.)The takeout service was speedy, but gracious. (I was offered a glass of bottled water while I waited for order to be rung up.) I highly recommend this establishment for casual, fine dining.

Super fun and cute little trendy place. Sat outdoors in a quiet dead end-street against Coit tower. Very well set up and comfortable space/seating. Great service and food. My glass (es) of red was served cold/chilled which was unexpected but not bad. Service was great and attentive. I don't remember what I had I munch on, but I remember it was good. Plan to come back and support new business!

I love this place. It's nestled away in a quiet neighborhood of residences and small businesses and has a fabulous outdoor space. Great wine list with a lot of unique wines. Great small plates for sharing as well as for an individual wanting a glass of wine and something not too heavy. The staff are lovely!

Great find! large outdoor space. The outdoor area had warm lights, and heat lamps, and great for groups. The food was good and the service was fantastic. 2 min walk to Exploritorium, 15 min walk to Cobbs comedy, and easy to find parking in the area.

Wine was very good. The staff was incredible and made sure we were comfortable. They moved the couch so that that I can be in the shade. They also, light up the Pitt when we were a bit cold. Will definitely come back.
