I was nostalgic to try Shabu Shabu my favorite go to food in Asia. I liked the very thinly sliced meat but the vegetable portions where small comparing to what I used to enjoy in Asia for a decade. It had the shadow feel of Shabu but not the satisfaction of it. On the plus side, they have a good gig for quick in and out. It would be nice if they have like tempura, pumpkin, and egg in their meal kits included.....

I've been coming here since I was a little girl. I've always had great experiences here. Easily my #1 hot pot spot on my list. I get the AYCE option. The meat is absolutely fresh and clean, so I don't feel sick after eating it. I love the ginger chicken broth, so light but also super flavorful. Adding garlic and onions makes it even more tasty. The sides include napa cabbage, spinach, mushrooms, carrots, tofu, udon and rice. Depends who's working that day, but the service is a hit or miss. The ambiance is nice and cozy, definitely not stuffy at all. Would recommend if you're looking to eat lots!

First time in a long time to eat at shabu house again. I think this is the only location left in SF. Staff was super friendly and maybe this was one of the best services we had in any shabu house. Our picky eater loved their miso broth and already asked to come back while eating.

Love Shabu House. I always get their lamb in regular or large in Spicy Miso soup, which includes a platter of veggies and carbs: spinach, cabbage, 2 baby carrots, mushroom, enoki mushroom, udon and a side of rice if requested.Meat is sliced fresh upon order. I love that they leave all condiments on the table now including a bottle of sesame (super love), ponzu sauce, minced garlic, green onions and chili oil/powder. They offer split pots with 2 sections if you're eating with other people and can choose a different soup. Staff is friendly. Location is much smaller but much cozier than their Geary (SF) and Burlingame location. Residential parking is available around the corner, and metered parking right on Ocean Ave. There's 2 boba in close walking distance (1-2 short blocks) if you still have room after their complimentary ice cream (flavors: green tea or red bean).

Very good quality, good service, good appetizers. Came with with out teenagers and they loved it--even the one who's a picky eater. Would definitely recommend. Make sure to get a reservation.

Made reservations for Thanksgiving on 11/5. Now today 11/19 I get a text that they are closed on thanksgiving. I now have 3 days to find a restaurant. Could of told us sooner. Very rude.

I've been coming to this place for years and it has been consistently good! Their beef and vegetables are always fresh. I love the miso and spicy miso soup. They ask you if you want to do half/half in case you and your friends want different broths. The dipping sauces makes each bite bomb! This place is reliably delicious! If you know you want, good food that is filling come here! Good for dates, with friends, with family. The appetizers like gyoza, chicken karaage, and agedashi tofu are also pretty good. At the end of your meal as a palette cleanser you get your choice of red bean or green tea ice cream. What else are you waiting for? 5 stars!

We love the Burlingame location but in a pinch we come to the SF location. It's significantly smaller and they def keep time if you are doing all you can eat. Despite high turnaround their meat isn't as good as the Burlingame location. It tends to be more lean and as your progress in the all you can it is gets leaner and less chilled. They have generous amount of sesame sauce, ponzu, green onions and garlic on the table to make the perfect sauce. The ginger chicken is our favorite and we drink a bowl before we even start cooking our meats and veggies. My husband occasionally likes the spicy miso. We order the kabucha squash on the side always and a hot sake to wash it all down. They are also often out of the bottles we want so we just do hot sake to be consistent. Double check your bill but otherwise this is a great place for a small group that is reasonably priced that is easy to find parking at in the city.

3.5 we came in about 30 minutes before closing and they were kind enough to let us stay 30 minutes after closing to finish our meal (there were a couple other tables too). everyone at our table got AYCE but i'm not sure that it was necessary because the initial plate was already so large. i'm a veg so i had the veg ayce and it was loaded with vegetables, more than i could finish, but i do wish it had started with more noodles or carbs. i had to ask for more separately. the ponzo and the peanut sauces are good. i found the miso broth to be pretty bland (almost water). service was good and attentive. but the actual quality and taste of the food was nothing to write home about.

I had one of the worst experiences in customer service at this location after finding a CATERPILLAR in our hot pot.I brought my friends from out of town here the day before my wedding to treat them out to a nice meal because I normally really enjoy this place. Our meal and service was going great until we found a CATERPILLAR in our soup pot. It likely came from the vegetables not being cleaned thoroughly. Our server (who was previously friendly) did not say a single word when he saw the caterpillar, he just grabbed the pot and took it to the back to switch with another one. After that another server came out and replaced the pot and continued to serve us. They acted as if no caterpillar was ever found! We were upset that they did not even apologize or explain themselves. At the end, we were hoping to get an apology or at the very least one of the servings comped for going through this but nothing! My wedding was the next day so I wanted to keep a happy mood and not think too much about it so we didn’t say anything. Looking back, we should’ve said something but hey that’s what google reviews is for to warn other people and to express myself. I probably won’t come back as there are other establishments that are more respectful and cleanly.

I like their hotpot. The meat is fresh and soup is good with reasonable price. I wish they cut the meat little thicker. Other than that I enjoy coming here for a quick fixed meal.
