Cool rooftop in San Francisco on top of the Hilton. Pricey, but cool.

Views are great and music was fun (live dj) but this is our second visit and the food remains meh.

We had such a great time here as it came here for my girlfriend's birthday. The view is so beautiful as we had dinner outside. I recommend getting a table next to the heated lamps. There was a slight glitch with the volume noise of the music for a bit but later they have great music. This place is very beautiful and romantic. I'm gonna come back here with my husband.

It took the almost 30 minutes after being sat to be helped out. Only got 2 drinks and asked for water. The water was never brought out to our table and no one checked in on us through the entire time. Wanted to stay longer and try the food since everyone says it's delicious but the service was so bad my party just decided to leave 😭

We had breakfast at Shelby's and enjoyed the nice view of the city. The breakfast menu is limited but the shashuka with tomatillo was delicious and yogurt parfait was fresh.

I brought a girl here. Everything was good, beautiful view, great service, not too expensive. She asked me to drive her home. We made out in the car. She says shes busy for the next two weekends. I hit her up 2 weeks later and she declines a second date. Damn

We visited on a Sunday night and it felt very cozy and laid back… the drinks were rooftop-priced, but not too expensive, staff was nice and ambience really 10/10

Amazing place. We sat outside, with a heater, and got to enjoy the spectacular view. The food was delicious. Appetizers were great. It was the best salmon I've had. The waiter was so friendly, knowledgeable and made the experience great. The host was fantastic. I accidentally selected indoors and he made our outdoor table happen. I am excited to go there again.

Good food. It took a lot of work to get attention from a waiter at a small restaurant

Great spot to see city from. Expensive as heck for what you're getting. Always seems like they're understaffed. Don't eat there on a tight schedule, you will be late to your next appt.

We went for a birthday celebration, coincidentally on New Year's Eve. Very limited menu options and I was underwhelmed. My wine was very good however. Unfortunately it was raining so we had to eat inside.

I always try to handle situations calmly and avoid conflict, but what happened to us at your New Year’s Eve 2025<2026 event at Shelby’s Rooftop left me completely shocked.

We purchased tickets to the New Year’s Eve 2025/2026 | Shelby’s Rooftop event for $170 per person. Upon arrival, we discovered that we were expected to carry a table ourselves and manually remove rainwater from it. There were only six tables on the terrace, yet all metal chairs had been removed and locked in a separate room.

I have a ligament tear in my right leg and have been limping for over a month. Standing from 10PM to 1AM was physically very difficult for me. I approached a staff member named Ryan and politely asked for a chair due to my condition. He refused and responded, “It’s not my issue.” After I explained that I had a leg injury, he replied, “Why did you even come here?”

I was completely speechless. Telling a person with a disability or injury “why did you come here” is absolutely unacceptable and discriminatory. The implication was clear: people with physical limitations are not welcome at your venue. This type of treatment toward individuals with disabilities is not normal, not ethical, and may be legally actionable.

There were only six tables, and it would have been extremely easy to leave the metal chairs available so guests could sit during a four-hour New Year’s Eve event—especially considering the ticket price was close to $200, which included only two cocktails and nothing else.

As a result of this experience, I am deeply disappointed and feel very uncomfortable returning to your establishment. This was not the level of service or basic human respect one would expect, especially on New Year’s Eve.

Love Love this spot. Great food. Lovely romantic atmosphere. It was a rainy afternoon so not much of a view but on a sunny day.. SF views are so worth it. Wonderful staff. Everyone speaks more than one language which is a big plus for me. I need more stars 🌟 5 is not enough.

3rd time here, this time is different, music selection was very bad. The music was too loud and overstimulating, couldn’t focus and enjoy the dining experience and the views, everything etc, the music was making us eat so fast cus we just wanna go home and stop hearing that. They needa change either the DJ or the sets they’re playing. 6/10. Food was good though, no more creme brulee as before, they changed the dessert menu.
