I was pleasantly surprised with the food, but I would recommend asking for some of the green sauce if you order the potatoes. The drinks were solid.
Jacob and Ken at Bar 888 were absolutely amazing! Their service was top-notch from start to finish. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable, making excellent recommendations throughout the evening. They kept the conversation engaging while also giving every guest at the bar the attention they deserved. It is not often you come across bartenders who strike that balance so effortlessly. Nice, elegant bar inside the Intercontinental hotel. Service was excellent and the martinis were outstanding, well-balanced and really delicious.
The atmosphere is relaxed and stylish, making it a great spot for a drink whether you’re a guest or just visiting. Very good experience overall and we’d happily return!

Located inside the InterContinental San Francisco, Bar 888 & Bistro 888 is a hidden gem. The bar features a U-shaped bar where guests can easily chat with the bartender or other guests. Various drinks are available, and the service is outstanding. The bartender was super friendly, really knew his stuff, and made drinks quickly with a great attitude. All wait staff were very kind and ensured breakfast was served on time. The coffee was great, and the brioche french toast looked soo good. The happy hour menu showcases artisanal cocktails and gourmet small plates, with unique options like the Italian Mojito and Eau De Vin. The sophisticated ambiance, with warm lighting and comfortable seating, provides an ideal setting for relaxed conversations or professional engagements. Service is attentive and knowledgeable. For lunch, the burger was cooked to perfection, and the omelette with potatoes was impressive. Both tomatoes and mushroom soups were yummy, and the salad portion was generous. Guests can bill drinks to their room or pay separately. A good place to relax before or after heading out.
