My second time in a week at Bar Shoji. This time I was with family. Again, excellent service. Food and cocktails, delicious. Our only complaint was that the heating lamp above us was not working, and it happened to be very cool outside, so it was a bit uncomfortable. (We were offered a blanket, though.) Also, although the uni donburi was delicious, the portion was very small for the price. Thanks again, Bar Shoji, for another great experience.

My 3rd time here and it's always an amazing treat. Everything on the menu is so good! If I had to choose it would be UNI AMAEBI DONBURI with Hokkaido uni and the Shoji Burger are a must! Fries and garlic edamame are staples. We took home the edamame sauce...that's how good it was! Nothing on the menu is the wrong choice. Service was stellar and ambiance killed it.

We went on a very stormy night (Xmas eve) and sat on the patio. That was a bit of a poor choice, as the wind was relentless and water was pouring down the sides of their patio roof. That being said, the staff was awesome, the food was excellent, and the drinks good as well. The Ceviche was truly exceptional. Great quality of fish. Our server was like an Auntie, even after she fell face first due to the wet floor. She was OK, and kept right on smiling. I will definitely return.

My wife and I have been trying to get to Shoji for some time now. It was well worth the wait. From the minute we walked into the restaurant/bar, we were treated better than I could have ever asked for. Everyone was kind, helpful, and friendly. I noticed that everyone around us was treated the same way. The staff made us feel welcome and like family. The food was out of this world and perfect. We shared several different plates; the kembu celery was bursting with flavor. The French fries with Akuza Aoli were delightful, the oysters were fresh and dressed perfectly, and melted in our mouths. We also shared the Donburi and Ceviche. Both were fresh, and sooooo flavorful. I could eat both of these dishes every day. The Shoji burger with sizzling fondue plate is the best burger I have ever had. The service was amazing, and the staff went out of their way to help us and make us feel welcome. I have to say that Shoji is by far my favorite restaurant of all time. The staff, food, environment and vibe can be summed up in one word: PERFECT. I cannot wait to get back for another perfect dinner.

Food, drinks and service was incredible. Best oysters I have ever had in my life and I have a lot of oysters. Staff was very friendly and great with recommendations. Only down side was we sat outside in there covered area and heater was not working where we were seated and it got I bit chilly even though we had several layers on. We live in San Francisco so we know all about layers. The ambience was great outside but just got a bit too cool to be comfortable, but other than that, everything else was outstanding.
