Visiting from Washington and stumbled upon this place, which is a few blocks from my hotel. If you come to SF for a conference, and you like spicy Chinese food, come to this place. As someone from Hunan’s adjacent province, i can attest to the authenticity of food here. however, pls go with a friend who speaks chinese or ask for the chinese menu. they do have separate menus. The meat is appropriated seasoned, veggies very fresh, flavorful yet not too saucy. It is indeed a very authentic Hunan restaurant - tried the bullfrog and chicken gizzard for the first time and both were on-point flavors. Every dish can get a bit spicy and you do need the spicy to taste the true flavors. Would recommend definitely getting few bowls of rice. Only complaint was there weren't enough servers and cooks so kitchen was backlogged - we didn't get our food until an hour later :(
