I love this place and I wish it’s in more places along hwy 80 in California. I love their matcha ice cream and I love their fish shaped waffles, which you can watch them make it. The reason why I give them 4 stars is because they don’t have one chair in the place to sit or stand around while waiting for the order to be ready. It’s busy all the time and you’ll need to be patient waiting in line. The line moves fairly quickly to the register to pay. However, the wait is much longer to receive your order.

Excuse me? Why is this place amazing? I wish I heard about this place sooner, nifty little ice cream taiyaki shop with so many different flavors to put inside the taiyaki. They make each taiyaki fresh right then and there after you order so you get a nice warm taiyaki with delicious ice cream (and even Nutella) inside!

I love Somisomi! The Taiyaki with sesame filling and the soft serve ube-matcha is addictive. 😍😋 When my husband and I spotted Somisomi for the first time, we couldn't get enough and came here every weekend. It's a dessert that doesn't feel like one - the flavors are balanced and not too sweet. 🍦I can recommend it to everyone who's into sweets and want to try sth. new.

Ordered 5 pieces combo. The Oreo flavor is simply 2 Oreo cookie inside. I’m wondering Oreo cream or something else. This is disappointing. Sesame flavor is wonderful. Custard and matcha custard are average.

We came to Somi Somi during the Warriors vs. Rockets game night, and it was such a frustrating experience. There was a long line, and only 1 or 2 people were working. They were so slow, and it just didn’t make sense. It’s game night of course it’s going to be busy! Why can’t the management figure that out and schedule more staff? It felt like they just didn’t care. Horrible management and poor planning. Totally ruined the vibe. Won’t be coming back

Cookies and cream ice cream with the Nutella filling. Cute little fish cone but not ideal for eating. Tends to be slightly messy the further you get into eating it. I would suggest also getting a cup.
Some of the best ice cream in San Francisco. Not too sweet, perfect texture/consistency and delicious flavours. Gluten-free options of just the soft serve available. I would give 5 stars but they are often short staffed at peak times leading to long wait times and lines of the door.
