Discovered this gem when we rode our bikes from Santa Rosa to Larkspur. The Farmer's Market was on and we decided to try the Sowlbowl Rito. Basically a burrito with a seaweed wrap, rice, spring mix, marinated pork, and tortilla chips. Perfectly spicy and delicious. Best post-ride food ever! Definitely will be back for more.
Covid has hit this part of town hard man. I really wanted this one to be bomb. The reviews are so good. My bowl was ok. I got garlic fried rice as a base, and marinated pork as protein. Best part was honestly all the veg. Spring mix was hella fresh, the broccoli was cooked perfect, still crisp. There were also some yummy sweet potato chunks. But the pork was chewy and had lots of fat. The rice tasted sad. Didn't taste fresh. And the sauce was ok. I just expected a bigger...
So delicious, I will be going back very soon. We ordered the bowl with pork and 'rito with chicken and ate the plates clean! They offered to give us both tamarind and cilantro sauces for the bowl when we couldn't choose - so awesome! Turns out, we prefer the cilantro sauce for it's bright herby flavor.
