Me and my wife stopped here on our 23rd wedding anniversary weekend away together. A shocker to say the least. The food was absolutley amazing. I wasn't that hungry so I had to appetizers and my wife got the tiki mascara. The appetizers were huge. Their samosas and the Schezwan garlic chichen were delicious. We're got there and only one person was there he was the cook, server, and host, and did each one perfectly. Definitely in my top 5 favorite India food restraunts I have ever been to.

This spot was a breath of fresh air in this city. Truly just a sweetheart man who opened a restaurant because he wants to cook good Indian food for people. No frills, basically no tech, but full of heart. I really hope more people go here and keep it running because the guy was just SO sweet (and food awesome).

Do yourself a favor and don’t go there. We went there on a Friday evening around 5 and we were the only people(I should’ve taken this as a hint) but we went ahead and placed an order. The food was mediocre at best. The butter chicken was bland and momos were absolutely flavorless. The only good thing was the service which made me not say anything about the food.

We’ve been to this restaurant 4 times now and it’s always delicious. However; this time, my husband noticed a difference saying “this is the best I’ve ever had.” I agreed. At the end of our meal, the NEW OWNER (who cooked all of our food) shared with us that he just bought the restaurant in October. Wow! VERY IMPRESSIVE as the sauces in the dishes tasted more authentic. My husband and I both traveled to India and love it there, so tasting the same dishes we always get even more tasty was amazing (Chicken Tikki Masala ($15), Lamb Biryani ($16), Lamb Tikki Masala ($15.99), Cheese Naan ($6), Garlic Naan ($5), Chickpea & Potatoes dish (Kadai Channa Masala $11.99) and Streamed Basmati Rice ($4). Seriously! THIS RESTAURANT IS A MUST TO TRY AND ENJOY! The owner said he will soon open a buffet as well. We definitely will be back w/ empty stomachs as we can’t wait to enjoy this authentic Indian restaurant again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The power in the building went out when my friend and I were about to pay for our meal, so I sent the guy working 20 dollars on zelle. The power then immediately came back on after I sent the money and he made us pay for the food again even though I sent him the money (which was alright) on zelle. I paid 40 dollars for butter chicken.

I saw some old recommendations online to come to Spice of America and assumed that it was a well known establishment so I gave it a try.
The ambience when first entering is pretty decent, a large bar, several tables, and generally nice lighting.
The menu looked normal enough, with the usual Indian Dishes. As a usual benchmark, we went with Butter Chicken and Paneer Tikka Masala with Basmati Rice, Garlic Naan, and Roti.
It was just my party of 2, and another party of about 6 people so I expected it to be relatively quick service, but this is where it went downhill.
They seemed to have forgotten that we were here because we were waiting for almost 30 minutes before I had to ask about where the food was, they said it would be soon, and another 20 minutes passed. Waiting almost an hour for a couple of simple dishes is ridiculous.
When we finally got the food, it was clear to us that something was off. The Roti was not Roti, it was more like Naan made with whole wheat, a completely unauthentic attempt. The Naan itself was burnt and bitter, with flakes of the grill they used stuck to it, flavorless and no garlic or salt.
The curry was even more disappointing. Both of the Butter Chicken and Paneer Tikka Masala had the EXACT same flavor, which basically tasted like Canned tomato sauce with a bit of heavy cream in it. There was nearly no actual spices in it. This was one of the first times I've actually left an Indian restaurant without finishing my food.
The only thing that they did right, was the Basmati Rice. Hallelujah!
To cap it off, we tried to get the bill THREE times, before we had to literally get up and ask them to hurry it up. I've never had to wait 20 minutes to pay my bill in an empty restaurant, but they managed to succeed in that here.
Maybe there's new ownership, maybe a new chef, possibly an off day, but if this dinner was any indication, no one should eat here.
We ordered the lamb tikka masala, garlic naan and chicken momo. Everything was DELICIOUS. Everything was very fragrant and flavourful. Will come back again!

Appetizer: Paneer Pakora was very couldn’t get enough! Entree: Baingan Ka Bharta (Eggplant dish) with Nan was also amazing.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Spice of America. We made a reservation through Yelp, looking forward to our meal. However, upon arriving at the restaurant, we were shocked to find it completely closed. There was no notification, no cancellation, and certainly no courtesy message from the restaurant to inform us about their unexpected closure.
It’s incredibly frustrating that they didn’t care enough to give us a heads-up, especially since they had our reservation details. This lack of communication reflects poor management and disregard for their customers’ time and plans. I hope they take this feedback seriously and improve their customer service in the future.
Until then, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone who values reliability and basic courtesy.

Really sad experience tonight with takeout. The quality of the food here went off a cliff and into a dump. SOA had been a regular go-to place for delicious food for us for at least six years. The food came out 30 minutes late. The naan is dry and hard. The momos are dry and have no sauce. Paneer and Molai kofta are watery and bland. Chicken curry also flavorless. Szechuan chicken dry with no sauce (different and not as described). On and on. We ordered extra to have leftovers that will probably be tossed. They must have changed owners. Really sad to say, but a fav has disappeared.
