I got the two mushroom shrimp and the sweet and sour pork combo, the white button mushrooms were way past their prime and the shiitakes were mushy. The fried rice was below average and the sweet and sour pork was decent. For them to work in a restaurant they must know those mushrooms were past their prime, I threw whole thing away

The price is cheap and the portions are big. As a cable car operator, sometimes I need a big meal to get through my physical work day. Sun Kwong hits the spot. Conveniently located on the cable car route, there are some of us cable car operators that come here everyday. Is it the best Chinese food ever? No. Is the restaurant super nice and upscale? No. It's just good big portioned food at a low price.

For many years I've passed this place and never thought of it. One day I was craving for Chinese and decided to come here. I'm so glad I did! This place is like a hole in the wall. It's not fancy but the people who works here have been doing this for decades. The food is delicious and fresh. A majority of the time I order the food it's hot and packed. They do not skimped on the food. This is out to go for Chinese takeout!

I ate here as a kid and have many fond memories. I remember really good Chinese food, everyone in the family was happy with no complaints. I came by to do take out a few days ago and the food is lovely, cooked with care and just good old comfort Chinese food. The portions are HUGE, prices are decent, what else can you ask for? I ordered the Kung Pao chicken, black bean sauce bitter melon (which came with fish, doesnt state that on the menu), tofu & mushroom clay pot and veggie fried rice. Every single dish was edible, not too oily, fresh food. Pick up was a breeze and the lady was very sweet and smiling. Looking forward to coming here more often..

Chinese-American mainstay in Russian Hill serving wide array of wonton noodle soups, stir-fried noodle and rice dishes as well as classic a la carte entrees. Crispy salt and pepper shrimp, amazing. Family Dinner, generously portioned for just $15 a person. At the corner of Hyde Street cable car turnoff — a plus. A go-to when local and seeking the familiar.

The food here is absolutely delicious! They have the best potstickers I have ever had in San Francisco. I dream about them. Amazing food and really kind staff! Love the Kung Pao chicken as well.

The best Chinese around. Now they deliver so it's even better. Love their platter and fried rice.
