We were very hungry, chilled and tired. Delicious hot tea, chicken bento box with a large mound of steaming rice, tempura carrots and shrimp (!) and lovely sushi rolls. Sushi Kinta rescued us; the right place at the right moment, gracious and smiling!

I don’t typically leave reviews but I had to for this restaurant. Incredible sushi, especially for the price! The fish was super fresh and they prepared it very quickly. Perfect option for grab and go sushi, highly recommend. The presentation speaks for itself!

While it is a budget friendly sushi place, we came across some less appealing aspects of the restaurant. We ordered 3 Sushi and 1 lunch box, the sushi were tasty and filling however we found a few fish bones in one of the rolls that had salmon slices on top, however we really enjoyed the eel ones i believe were called "four season roll", we also got the salmon crunch roll(?) and rainbow roll. these were satisfying. As for the lunchbox, we got the chicken teriyaki one, it arrived with chicken teriyaki over white rice, 4 california roll sushi and a miso soup. The chicken was tasteless and we had a hard time finishing the rice with three people, the miso soup was good. Moreover, we chose to dine in and the door was jammed(?) and we had to ask for assistance to come in, also everything we ordered arrived in plastic boxes and the chopsticks were wooden ones which wasn't a big issue for us but it can be for others. The service was alright and the food arrived fast, but there are no bathrooms and since it's in a pretty good looking empty mall-y area(?), we had to basically go hunt down the bathrooms. It is a beautiful area near the ferry building that we enjoyed exploring after our meal though.

Ramen was good, liked the miso soup base, and they were generous with meat.

The prices are good but the food is nothing special. It's mostly a take out place and eating there is not that enjoyable. The people there were pleasant and worked hard to make our lunch positive.

The lunch box wasn’t the move. Chicken was pretty dry and lacking sauce (sauce to rice ratio way off). The 49er’s roll was heaven though. Good amount of avocado and that salmon just melted in my

Fantastic rolls, mixed well to taste and texture, with big pieces of fresh and tender sushi. Japanese Ramen (Tonkotsu Broth) had a wonderful scent/flavor.I cannot recommend Sushi Kinta enough to anyone!

very specific and cosy place, reasonable prices! more of a bistro than a restaurant. I can only recommend for a quick bite.

Surprisingly good. Great portion of sashimi and fresh fish - reasonable price

Both is actually great. However, served in plastic bowls although I chose to eat in. Vibe not that good, very small and doesn’t look clean enough.

I think this is such a great place to have in the Embarcadero! Like someone mentioned, this area is surrounded by higher price-point eateries, so the cost of the meals here is amazing. The restaurant used to have indoor seating, but now they just serve the food and take orders through the window. This gives it a literal hole in the wall vibe to the restaurant. I ordered the 49-ers roll which was salmon, cucumber, and avocado topped with more salmon and tobiko. It was about $11.50, which it reasonable. Most items here do not cost more than $15. I came during peak lunch time, but service was quick because the line was not long at all. I think because this place is hidden in an alley in the Embarcadero, not a lot of people know it's here. I will definitely come back to try their bento boxes and more rolls.
