I can say this is one of the best sushi in the city. The service is attentive. Food quality is good and sushi rolls impress me. We mentioned we love Sashimi and they made it special for the snow fish instead of touching with flame.

After having this place saved on my list for a some time, I finally got a chance to visit Sushi Zone today.
We ordered the Castro, Toro Toro, Spicy Tuna rolls and a pair of blue fin tuna nigiris and everything was outstanding.
The service and ambience were also 10/10! This has probably become my favorite sushi in SF, we’ll be coming back many times!

New management with friendly, fast service and good quality sushi. The appetizers are interesting and delicious. The outdoor patio is pleasant and heated!
Very attentive and personable staff, paired with an exceptionally skilled chef. Prices are what you would expect for quality sushi in SF. 4 rolls, 6 piece nigiri, and 2 drinks was $100. We ordered the sushi platter, and followed the recommendation of the server, getting the spicy walu and Castro rolls. Top notch texture and flavor.

Reopened under new owners as of September 2024, with a very similar (but slightly expanded!) menu. Fish is still fantastic. Portions seemed smaller than before (esp the sashimi - pieces were about half the size they used to be), but once you know to order a bit more, the experience was similarly lovely. Friendly staff. Expanded hours (5-9:30p mon-sat, closed Sunday for now, but this may evolve). They take credit card /Apple Pay. Outdoor seating with heaters. Takeout or dine in. Welcome back to the neighborhood!

Love love love this place! by far my fav sushi spot in sf and never misses, sushi is always fresh and ive never been disappointed. Highly recommend the stuffed jalapeño and the baked bass as well!!

Warm cozy place and fresh sushi ? Variety of choice but those spicy maki are outstanding. Spicy Hamachi maki and spicy scallop, baked bass is a must.
Really delicious and fresh sushi. The stuffed mushroom appetizer and the mango sushi were highlights. The staff were very hospitable.

We have been coming to Sushi Zone since 2009. It is lovely- incredible food, cute small restaurant, open kitchen. We love their sushi, but their warm dishes- the baked bass, salmon Kama and hamachi Kama are not to be missed. We will be back and highly recommend Sushi Zone!
