We celebrated our 11th anniversary here at Swiss Louis and had such a wonderful time. The staff was very friendly and the host made sure we had a very romantic spot in the corner by the window. It was such a beautiful view of the bay and the sunset. We had the prawn cocktail and the crab cake and the crab cake was fantastic with a goodly amount of crab in them (not all filler like some places). I had the linguini with fresh clams and my wife had the spaghetti al salmon. Both were incredibly flavorful with the pasta cooked perfectly. For dessert we had the tiramisu and it was also very good. The waitstaff took constant care of us and the owner/manager was so friendly and genuinely cared about our experience, which you don't always see with locals and tourists! Highly recommend for good food, good views and good people.

Went there with very large group. Chicken parm was delicious. They sang Happy Birthday to my husband. Handled our group with professionalism. I would recommend this place food and great service. Everyone was happy with there meal. We were there this past Sunday.

First meal in San Francisco and their seafood not fresh, cannot eat except ceasar salad. Clam Chowder in bread bowl we ordered has only potato in it. The rest was sour and yes we got diarrhea that night. Something wrong with the clam.

This was the worst dining experience I've ever encountered. The waitstaff was extremely rude, and the food was disappointing. While my salmon and vegetables were decent, the vegetables were essentially raw, and the salmon left me with food poisoning. I strongly advise choosing a different restaurant. The only thing this restaurant has going for it is the view. It absolutely is not worth your money, time, or the illness that follows.

Service was excellent the Cioppino was delicious all though the crab was a little cold for me(I like my food really hot so don't take the cold part seriously) but overall the atmosphere and absolute goat of a service I got was top notch.

I went here as a tale end of a trip. It was supposed to be a highlight, but the experience was actually terrible.

Here is context:

- They were not busy.
- We had an amtrak meal voucher and were not sure how to use it.
- We called the day before to make a reservation because amtrak told us that we needed to make a reservation and were told that we did not and to just show up and show our form from Amtrak.

When we were seated we told our waiter we had a voucher and they said they had to get their manager since they weren't sure what to do and we had a seperate menu. (This is fair and we also were not sure how this worked.) Their manager came over and was obviously annoyed that we had an amtrak voucher. We filled out the form and they asked what we wanted. We weren't sure of the options so they quickly said the titles with no context. Did not ask how I wanted my steak and left.

The waiter actually had to come back to confirm the orders we had already given the manager.

We were asked if we wanted drinks, we said sure two sprites (no refills were given at any point). The waiter did not check on us as often as other tables. We got up to leave when we were done eating assuming the pop was included with the meal (which we paid for months ago when booking) and were rudely and loudly stopped.

$12 for two sprites after an extremely uncomfortable dinner, we were also not told we needed to pay for the sprites. Since we did not get checked on as frequently this felt like something that could have been easily avoided. The waiter did soften their tone at the end when they realized we really were just not sure how this worked, but for a slightly more expensive restaurant I expect better. (Honestly have had better service from a Dennys)

For the service we were given I would never recommend this place. The redeeming factor was the location, but honestly there are many other places with a nice view locally so check those out instead.

****Edit: my friend ordered the salmon and is now sick with food poisoning a few hours after eating here.****

Walter was so welcoming! We were deciding where to eat, and we decided to eat there based on the menu and ambiance. Alex was our server and Walter also checked on us. The teamwork there was great. They were flexible on where we could sit. We chose a booth where we can see the view as well. The food was delicious 😋 we ordered a bottle of Caymus, had the spaghetti bolognese and baked penne ragu with garlic bread. All was delicious
A must try when at the pier! 10 out of 5 stars
