This is a great place to catch a bite of fresh seafood. Can’t say enough about the service. Try a bar seat if the tables are full. Everyone is working hard here.

Opened in 1849! The Mesquite broiled petrole sole was amazing. Everyone I know that has had the petrole sole raved about it. The bay shrimp were so-so. Wonderful old San Francisco atmosphere. A plus for us was that it opens early and we had a play to attend at 7 p.m.

If your looking for a fabulous restaurant with amazing seafood options, this is it! Lobster thermador is fantastic! Ciappino is AMAZING! ...The best Ive ever had and its such a lovely old school hollywood feel atmosphere. We will be going back again.
A San Francisco icon that's worthy of that status. The place itself, the people there and best martini anywhere are more than worth the trip.
One of our longtime favorites. The petrale sole ( pan fried) was fabulous. Of course the bread is over the top. The chocolate cake was wonderful and a little disappointed in the rice custard. The rice was hard. But! Great ambience, great service, wonderful coffee and cocktails!
Great service started at the bar and continued to our table. All of us were very happy to have eaten at Tadich Grill
“Wow” was all I could muster after a bite of that short rib (Monday special)
Amazing consistency both in high quality of service and outstanding food, always generous portions. The atmosphere has a timeless quality that customers such as myself value and appreciate.
A classic and a must visit

I thought certainly Tadich Grill would be the perfect place to take my out of town guest who loves seafood. We both ordered the Cioppino which was highly recommended. It was full of broken up pieces of fish which totally overwhelmed the mussels and clams. Wish I had sent it back. Waiter wished us a “good evening” three times encouraging us to leave.
The crab was in season and fantastic! Service was outstanding. Reservation was on time, no waiting for the table. Highly recommend this place for seafood.
