The oldest seafood place in SF. The place felt like you walked in the 59s, 60s style restaurant vibe. With pics of the good old days and the waitstaff wearing old style white serving uniform and there is the bar right upon you walk in and tables throughout the place. Great service by all, the foods are great, big and delicious, old style of course. The prices can be in the high end but worth it. Parking can be tough since most are street parking, we came early so we got spot right across the place but they do have valid parking (I believe). We ate all of what we ordered and that is a lot for 3 people. Glad that we stopped by and checked it out, it was on my bucket list of places to eat in SF.

There’s no trick to spending a lot of money to get a good meal. The trick is to get a good meal without spending a lot of money. In San Francisco, that means Tadich Grill. And there’s a bonus: you’ll learn what good service is.

The seats at the counter are the best. Great food and wonderful service with a nice touch of “Old San Francisco”. Listening to the banter between the waiters was priceless. What a hoot. Can’t wait to return.

This was a vibe! Cool, lively, great food! I feel like if my grandfather had a restaurant - this would be it! Just great, real food served fast but with care and attention.

For one of the most classic, SF-institution feels meal you can ever have in the city👌 thoroughly enjoyed my crabcakes, branzino, and the old world atmosphere where none of my co-customers had their phones out and just thoroughly enjoying the food and the atmosphere.

Walking back in time with this exquisite restaurant with old school charm! The service was second to none! Brian S. was along and made the night extra special. Yes the Sidecar was rhe best ever (touted in the cocktail menu) Oysters awesome, clamp chowder amazing and thick and flavorful. Sole stuffed with crab and shrimp a la Newburg and Seafood Sautéed simple Devine. Oldest restaurant in California. Highly recommend. Get reservations.

I've been going to Tadish Grill for years. I've never lived in San Francisco so it's always from whatever city I've been living in at the time. Until last night, it was always five star for me. Last night, though, the noise level where we seated was near the kitchen and also a loud group of five men. We couldn't hear each other talk. My halibut with the cheese sauce and spinach was weird because I would never hide a halibut with that much sauce. It was too much. My niece's trout was absolutely chock full of little tiny bones, plus the piece wasn't very big. My nephew had a great steak, he was very happy! The drinks were great. The bartenders are always great, but the elderly gentleman who was in charge of our table was absolutely too busy to pay any attention to us.

Service is really exceptional. Very attentive but not obtrusive or obsequious. The grilled petrale sole was marvelous. The vibe is very energetic but civilized and one still can talk to ones tablemates. Prices are reasonable for this sort of place.

Haven't been there in 20 years ; same excellent food, same attentive service; same comfortable ambiance. So grateful that tradition remains in this time of turmoil and distasteful surroundings
