It's expensive but yummy. Make sure to take the broth home to use again to recoup some of the money. make sure to bring a plastic bag from home otherwise they will charge you 25 cents for a bag. They do offer free plastic soup containers though

Eaten here twice and the food is delicious. Although, the “pay by the weight” format can cause surprises when you come to pay.
A veggie bowl will be charged the same as a meat bowl and items, like mussels with the shell on, will quickly bring up the weight.
Doesn’t work as well as a yogurt shop but nun the less, great food.
this should be transformed into more a Chipotle style where employees are building your bowl for you.

Price is kind of high, could be personal (maybe I eat a lot), Because they count by weight. I would always rather go to a buffet than here.

Good place. Affordable
The food taste good. Especially “Just a kick” soup based one. I really love the taste. However, It would be much better if they provide sauces that I can mix myself and enjoy with the meat.

Today I went tang bar with my girlfriend. There are a lot of people. I was almost vomiting. I ordered dried spicy. The food is not good especially the noodles inside there are still a lot of water left that means it doesn’t cook well. Also the items like octopus and others are with a lot of ice. They need to be defrosted. 😌 expensive and not worth to eat. Only one time and not ever again. Thanks

Really exceeds expectations. You can pick any meats and veggies you want, and it will probably always turn out great because the broths are super flavorful. The decor in the dining area is also quite impressive.

The taste of “just a kick” was perfect but the sichuan had so much oil in its soup.
Mala tang should usually come with deadens sauce but they provide none, which I find it annoying.
Overall, I would recommend “just a kick” to everyone.
Side note: it only cost me $17 for my bowl.

Takes 40+ mins to get your food. Seating is hard to find. Food is okay/good with lots of variety.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. i literally might go every week if i could. the only thing is that if the cashiers are on the older side the wait is much longer. the selection is amazing and i could literally eat here every single day for the rest of my life not exaggerating btw :)
Nice if you like hot pot. Authentic flavors and lots of choices. Hint: dont fill up a lot in the beginning

Generally good for my first malatang experience in the US. $15.99/lb for toppings, which brings most totals to around $20 for each meal. I went close to closing on a Sunday and there was still a 20-30 minute wait before we got our food. The meat area was pretty messy and picked over by the time we arrived. My 2 star deduction comes from the messy environment and overcooking of the meat, I understand that it’s because everything is cooked at the same time but it was really hard. The tomato broth was delicious and comforting.
