They say that every time you fire a gun it makes you a tad bit more republican. Similarly, with every bite of the Al Pastor burrito I took, I turned from someone who considered burritos emblematic of everything wrong with America - that bloated, greased up, junked up version of the OG pure taco, into someone who thinks maybe not all of the American excess has to be terrible. 5/5 stars

Came to try a famed Mission burrito, stayed for the chicken tacos! We visited on a Sunday around 3pm and there was a line out the door! The line moves very quickly though so don't let it deter you. An important thing to note is that El Farolito is CASH ONLY. We ordered the Chicken Super Burrito, a Steak Crispy Taco and a Chicken Taco. The Burrito was large and filling! I would not recommend the Steak Crispy Taco because the hard shell was cold and reminiscent of a store bought shell. The Chicken Tacos on the other hand were AMAZING! We ended up ordering two more before leaving. They give you a ticket with a number and the servers will bring the food to your table so keep an ear out for when your number is called. Drinks need to be opened at the cash register with a bottle opener. Happy eating!

Service was great and quick. Location and bathroom need to be updated. For the price you get a lot of food. In terms of quality La Taqueria down the street is much better but is also a lot more expensive.

Excellent restaurant, the prices are comfortable and the food is very delicious, I will return soon!Vegetarian options: There are multiple vegetarian options, especially in the burritos, which I always recommend ordering the super size.Kid-friendliness: There are always police officers around the place, the local staff constantly checks to make sure everyone feels comfortable.

This was one our stops during our day trip in San Francisco. A friend of our recommended the super taco with steak so we each had one. The meat was seasoned so well! The avocado was also very fresh. It was a fantastic taco and worth it for sure.
Best Food-Price related. I totally recommend the super burrito and super quesadilla. The best burritos and prices in all of San Francisco. Love it :)

All of their beans are vegetarian.Vegetarian options: All the beans are vegetarian. The menu does not make that very clear. There are a couple of veggie burritos on the menu, but you'll have to order the exact toppings you want (e.g. beans) if you want veggie nachos or tacos quesadilla.

Perhaps slightly overhyped. Was expecting more out of the al pastor I guess. Turned out to just be another burrito. It had a Sichuan aroma to it though? The oils that seeped out of the meat gave off that feel. For less than $9 though, it's quick power food though. Nice if you're around and hungry.
