Tataki Sushi and Sake Bar

We were seated quickly upon arrival. However, the service was uneven - with a long wait before our order was taken One server was rushed and not completely educated on food details, and another server came across as rude at times. Also, a couple of the sushi men appeared to be more interested in what was going in the dining area, versus ensuring that ALL of the served food was of the highest quality. In closing, based on previous reviews, this establishment did not live up to our expectations.

LOVE love love this place. Best sushi I’ve ever had!

This place has a great happy hour that goes later than most. $4-6 rolls! I really like the veggie tempura roll.

Vegetarian options: Has the usual veggie options for sushi, kappa, avocado, veggie tempura.

Terrible service, they put their chairs up next to us and started washing the floor with bleach while people were still eating! Same with the restrooms. At 8:20 pm. Won’t return.

This is a hard review to write. My family and I had been coming to this restaurant for about 10 years and we really enjoy their food. The way we were treated tonight however has left us not wanting to eat here again. Posted closing time is 9pm. We were calmly enjoying our meal and quality time together, starting to wrap up around 8:15pm and our waitress abruptly places the check on our table without us having asked for it or giving us a chance to order dessert. At the same time, staff starts turning chairs upside down and cleaning the entire place with bleach, making us and the other remaining paying customers feel unwelcomed and pushed out. I briefly went to use the bathroom and found that the entire bathroom and area around it was soaked in bleach, my shoes and socks ended up wet. Upon returning to the table, my sister puts her card down and before my mother and I had a chance to put ours, the check is rapidly taken away. When the server brings it back I mention that I felt they were being rude by rushing us out and making us feel unwelcome a full 30 minutes before posted closing time, she did not apologize and simply gave me an ugly look. We felt very unwelcomed and saddened, especially after coming here for so many years. We will be seeking out a new favorite sushi spot in SF. We hope the business can learn from this, be more clear about when they actually close and not make paying customers feel like a burden on them.

Happy hour is amazing! Great prices on nigiri, rolls, and drinks until 6:30pm.We also ordered seafood sonomono which was HUGE!!! Great prices for everything.The best part is all their seafood is sustainably sourced.

Incredible, absolutely amazing.They even made sure I understood the substitute crab had some crab mixed in just in case I had an allergy. And the California roll is exceptional.Definitely worth it, even better on happy hour

I've been a fan of sushi for over 15 years and this was honestly some of the best sushi I have had. Everything was fresh and delicious.

Sashimi and brussel sprouts were excellent! Very fresh and full of flavor. The rolls were also fresh but we didn't love the flavor combinations. They do have several spicy options and if you like the heat then you should give them a try! Staff were friendly and the service was quick.
