The food here is delicious! There was a little bit of a wait to get our food, but it was incredibly worth it. There are limited seats inside, but it makes for a cozy atmosphere and the food was easy to carry out if needed. I'm so glad we stopped to try this place and very sad we don't live close enough to visit it again. The tamarind cider and the flatbread were my favorite!
A family owned restaurant, I got the rice and chicken drumsticks. This is some of the best African food you will find in the Bay Area. They are located in 4 Embarcadero Center next door to Boudin facing the Park Padel glass arenas. Do not be afraid to pass this up. The woman who runs it is the nicest lady you will ever meet. Very humbled and polite. Anything goes on this menu. And they offer a sampler of Tea.
Amazing food. I saw this place on Google maps and decided to try it out on Friday, having never had Senegalese food before. I was unsure what to order but the lady behind the counter was really helpful and suggested some vegan dishes. I ended up with the Maafe bowl, the most popular item on the menu and it was the best meal I'd had in a long time - really delicious, enjoyed the flavours and the vegetables, as well as the nuts and sweet potatoes.
