5th Ave Deli & Market Reviews
I had a last-minute meeting hand was looking for something quick to eat. And stumbled upon this place. Definitely one of the best Italian sandwiches I've ever had!
Favorite sandwich place! Great to grab one and then eat it at the ferry building or somewhere near the water. Quick service and big sandwiches.

5th Avenue Deli & Market is a small deli located in the Embarcadero Center, near the corner of Clay and Drumm streets. This hidden gem offers a large selection of sandwiches, non-alcoholic drinks, and chips. The most popular sandwich is the SanFranPsycho, featuring honey turkey, bacon, Gouda cheese, garlic butter, pesto, and Cajun mayo on your choice of bread. The Dos Primos sandwich, built on sourdough bread, is another favorite among customers.
The staff is friendly, fast, and super accommodating, making it a great spot for large groups. Although there is no indoor seating available, there are plenty of benches outside in the Embarcadero Center. Many customers, including the reviewers, are fans of the SanFranPsycho, which is often praised for its fresh, perfectly toasted bread and flavor explosion. The sandwiches are generous in size, making them perfect for a filling lunch. The build-your-own option and other sandwiches, like the goodfella, are also popular choices. Overall, 5th Avenue Deli & Market is a fantastic spot for a delicious and satisfying lunch in the area, and it’s often recommended to friends visiting the city.
