Don't know what I was expecting when I came here but the food was great! My friend and I split the Korean wings and Carne Asada fries -- the wings were a great flavor and juicy, while the Carne Asada fries were cheesy, saucy, and meaty on a bed of great fries. We both left feeling full and satisfied. Although I don't know much about beer, we were able to sample a bunch by getting tap cards and getting our drinks over selves! The beer really added to the flavor of our dishes and there's a lot to pick from. I would recommend coming here during off-peak hours though because it gets very loud and it feels like you're having a screaming match just to talk. Overall great place but would plan to come when other people aren't really there.

Brew Coop? More like Brew P**** Entered the restaurant expecting to have a wonderful time and enjoy some good chicken. Little did I know that things would go horribly horribly wrong. I started off by ordering a chicken box. Then, I asked which flavor sauces they had and the woman told me three flavors. I said I would take one of each. Without telling me how much each one was, she said she would add it to the order. I had to ask her how much, to which she replied a dollar each. I was surprised by this, and the fact that they wouldn't even give one sauce for free with the meal. Like who eats their chicken dry???? Anyways, I told her in that case I would only take one. Then, my friend also got food and tipped $3. After he got his food he politely asked if he could have a sauce and he had put his wallet away in the car. She said it would be a dollar each and he told her about how he had just tipped her and if it would be possible to take it out of the tip, which she saw him give in cash. She turned him down. Then we got our food. Disgusting. Not sure what they put in the macaroni salad but it was awful!!! Worst macaroni salad I have ever tasted. It had some weird sour taste, like someone had poured vinegar and moldy beer all over it. And the chicken was the worst. Soggy, not crispy, horrible. Biggest waste of $20. I will never come back again but I hope they clean up their act for the people that come in the future.

The wings were terrible and basically just skin! Practically inedible unless you want to eat slimy skin.

We heard about the Brew Coop’s Tuesday night trivia nights last year and decided to check it out. We were hooked after the first night and have been coming every Tuesday for nearly a year before the pandemic started—hands down the most fun and creative trivia questions in the area and we’ve been to plenty in Oakland and Berkeley. The atmosphere and food are great, the beer selection has something good for everybody, and the staff are some of the friendliest and genuine people I’ve ever met. The beer is a self-pour style, so you can try everything on the wall and only commit to the ones you love. Take a minute to stop by and chat with Gore and Lawrence; you won’t regret it!

Cool spot to try different beers. On Wednesday they have a special on their wings. I discovered this place because they they had a Game of Thrones viewing party. I came back because they had a Survivor viewing party. I had no idea there were so many Survivor fans out there.

We come here for Trivia every Tuesday and it is very well run and fun. Usually, the rounds are current events, music round (super hard!), a themed round and a general knowledge round. I like that It is unique in that you can pour your own beer - choose whatever and pour however much you want. That way, you can try a bunch of different ones and figure out the one you want to get more of. They have a pretty good selection across the entire spectrum of beers and you will easily find one that you will like. The food is also pretty good, but there are not too many options for vegetarians - just the edamame, cheese quesadilla, and fries all of which are very solid. Definitely come here for Trivia Tuesdays and other events as well.

Held a corporate trivia event here and we absolutely loved it! Such a great vibe and loved all the different categories for the trivia questions. Highly recommend for smaller team events with low lift planning. Very convenient being less than a 10 min walk from bart/muni. Incredibly convenient to try and pour yourself your own drinks (so many IPA and sour selections, and have non alcoholic options as well). Had great options of foods for some of our coworkers who have dietary restrictions, and definitely had crowd favorites with the coop nuggets, salt & pepper wings, and Korean wings (I personally loved the fuego wings, but be careful, they're hot!). Would definitely come here again! Thanks for hosting us!
