Solid fish and chips spot at the fisherman's wharf. Ordered the Codmother's combo for $20 to share as a snack between 2 people. Fish was excellent, light, crispy batter. Oily of course. Shrimp were tasty, cooked perfectly. Fries were more like steak cut style. Asked for no added salt and they accommodated. Generous portions. We didn't even finish the fries. Price seemed reasonable. Food took 10-15 mins to make, which is a good sign since it's made to order....
So, so good!! Huge pieces of fish, amazing tartar sauce and the BEST lightly breaded shrimp! Nice outdoor seating area too. This is a “go out of your way to eat there” kind of place!
Calamari- delish with a great sauce
Fried Shrimp- good and not over cooked
Fried Fish- light batter and a good flavor
Chips (fries) - terrible... way too thick and no flavor. Even garlic fries were just ok but the fries alone are just bad so I am not sure anything could make them better.
This rating would have been considerably higher with a better fry since fish and chips just isn't the same without a good 'Chips'
...
