Passed by this place on the way to dinner with my friends, and I realized that I have bookmarked this place for awhile. Upon entering we were greeted by the employees and could request samples to try out their unique ice cream flavors. I sampled the Banana Puddin, but I didn't end up with that one because I didn't think it had enough banana flavor. I then sampled the Creme Fraiche, and that one tasted a lot like cheese/sour cream so I decided to pair it with the Brown Sugar Lavender. In a small bowl you can get up to 2 flavors, so that is what I did, and it did not disappoint. The interior of the place gives a lot of retro diner vibes, it felt very nostalgic. I enjoyed my ice cream with my friends sitting at one of the tables while seeing other customers come in and sit down at the bar to order their own ice cream. There's a variety of options to choose from, which includes milkshakes, ice cream sandwiches, boozy floats, and more. I think the unique menu in both flavor and types of desserts make the Ice Cream Bar have an identity of its own compared to other ice cream parlors. If I'm ever in the area again, I look forward to their rotation of flavors and trying out the other desserts

Unique hidden gem in a somewhat quiet neighborhood. Respectable range of options to pick from. Nice staff.

VERY cute ambiance that brings you back to another time. This classic American ice cream parlor would be the perfect spot for a date or for a treat with some flair. It's authentic and feels untainted. The ice cream itself is good, but I really can't recommend getting anything other than a junior size if you're not sharing. Their ice cream is so incredibly sweet and this is coming from someone with a sweet tooth. Good for a once in a while treat if you're sharing with someone but I don't think I could have it for even once a week. One small issue besides the ice cream is the seating. I know they're trying to be authentic but it's so goddamn uncomfortable. The seats are all straight pressed against the wall and the tables are all pinning whoever sits on the other side.

Nice dessert stop after dinner. Long line but it moved fast. I actually had a junior scoop of the salted caramel turtle ice cream. It was very good. I wouldn't say spectacular. But nice flavor and very creamy. My friends had a float and a Sundae. They liked them. I've been here before a few times. I always enjoy the experience, but the seating is always a little weird. Kinda have to take it on the go. Or crowd yourself against the bar in the back. We actually did manage to get a seat this time. But the table was odd, and there was only one chair. I'm glad to see this place I survived, fun establishment and a very cute neighborhood

Such a cute place. My friends and I came here in the afternoon on a Saturday. Wasn't busy compared to the evening/night time. I forgot what my float was called but it was the Dr. Pepper one! It was tasty!

This ice cream shop is loved by locals for its exquisite ice cream. The interior of the store truly embodies the good old American style. In particular, their salty vanilla ice cream has a perfect balance of sweetness and saltiness. The cherry and lavender flavored ice cream (seasonally available) and affogato are also really delicious. It's easy to see why locals flock here. In addition, the atmosphere inside the store is vintage-style, yet comfortable, and the staff's smiling faces make you feel welcome. It's a place where you can enjoy nostalgic flavors and atmosphere with friends and family.

I came here on my solo date night because I love ice cream, and I found everything about it absolutely delightful! I got a hot fudge Sunday with one scoop of ice cream instead of two, and it was delicious. I’ll be back myself and I highly recommend you come here.

This has been on my SF list for the longest time and it was well worth the several years of me putting it off. My boyfriend and I got their brownie sundae with the caramelized honey and banana puddin' flavors. We both loved the caramelized honey flavor and thought that the banana puddin' needed more chunks of banana pudding dispersed. Warm brownie, velvety caramel, whipped cream, and ice cream were wiped out within minutes of being served. Their apple pie also looked amazing but I was stuffed, so maybe next time I can try it alongside some of their other flavors.

Our family loves visiting the Ice Cream Bar. Amazing ice cream. Delicious Boozy Milkshakes. And the affogato is to die for. The staff is always super friendly, warm, and efficient. They are working hard slinging ice cream back there :) The place has a fun feel like an old school soda fountain.

This place is adorable. I love the 1930s aesthetic and the old school uniforms. Great flavors. I recommend the Carmel pecan and the Stracciatella. The metal bowls are so perfect. Great presentation. Very photogenic place. Cute places to sit at the bar and

Delicious scoops of early grey and coffee ice cream topped with torched marshmallow fluff! I love it! Will be back to try more flavors and boozy drinks (without the kids) soon!
