The Nags Head is a welcoming neighborhood bar where the bartender puts in the effort to learn your name and get to know you. When I went, most people at this establishment were on a first name basis. It was so refreshing to see a strong sense of community despite being in the city. The bar primarily offers beer and ciders, but the bartender can make you any cocktail if they have the ingredients, and the drinks are very affordable.

Way overdue review! Been coming here for the past 4 years. The owner Michelle is the sweetest person & the atmosphere is chill and comforting. This has always been either my first or last stop for the night with friends (open until 2 am). Drinks average $8-$12. I live in the area and always bring my friends here to guarantee a good time! P.s. pets are all allowed

Lovely bar and place to visit except for the skooma addicts that will occasionally agrro and will attack you. Try the Kwama eggs, you'll thank me later.

By far, the best bar I ever went to in San Francisco. Just real people hanging out in this "dive" and being nice to each other.
If you are walking along Geary boulevard and you are needing a drink this is far and away the greatest place you could choose to get a drink
