Scoring lower in hopes to bring this place down a star cuz there’s no way you’re charging $20+ BUCKAROONIS for ONE SUNDAE😭. Yes you heard me folks. We got one strawberry shake, $16. It was not bad, so I’ll give them that. Would I come back as a SF resident, or would i go to In-n-Out a block over four times over…. I know it’s a touristy spot but i’m truly shocked and will not be returning. Feel like they’d attract more locals to this area (especially in non summer season) if prices were more reasonable. Sadly do not want to return to ghirardelli square.
Ooh..a lovely afternoon in the company of those who relish their chocolates and icecream 🍨
Visiting from NY and a brown haired girl was really nice to me and my friend. Very helpful staff. And the pastries were delicious
Short version, would pass. $43.76 total for two sundaes. 15 minutes in line to order, 10 minutes to find an open table, and 27 minutes total between order and arrival. It's just not worth it anymore. It's very good, but the price and time commitment aren't.
Cute free gift
Extremely disappointed with the service here. Definitely didnt feel welcome as a family. Jose was very rude. He was repeatedly telling us our wagon stroller was too big and demanding we move it. There’s a way to handle this situation without making customers feel completely unwelcome
We tried two Ghirardelli cups — one with the Dubai topping and strawberries, and the other with the Dubai topping and ice cream. Both were delicious! The Dubai topping is very rich and intense, while the ice cream gives a nice balance.
I think the perfect combination would be strawberries, Dubai topping, and ice cream together — it would be lighter and more balanced. Overall, a very tasty dessert experience!
Loved it.
Long line but moved briskly. Glad they added more tables at the upper level. Delicious best to share with 2 people. I
On the pricier side. I guess paying extra for the name and location. There are better places for ice cream but you have to experience this at least once. Sundae is about 19.00. Banana split about 22.00. Pretty pricey but yummy at the same time.
Young girl at the front taking orders was extremely moody. No smile, no welcome or hello. Didn’t say anything until we told her what we want. Sadly I can’t remember her name.
Lots of options to choose from in the menu so you won’t be disappointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our dessert. Shame about the service.

Best hot chocolate!
Expensive but good sunday, there are coupons to look out for.
After hearing from many friends and family members we have visited this famous shop to try ice cream. As usual there was a huge rush , however we were able to get into the shop within 15 minutes and place our order. Getting a place to sit was very difficult and our order arrived within 15 days. We tried World famous chocolate fudge and gold rush caramel fudge. Ice cream quantities are too much for 1 person. They tasted delicious. It was a unique experience tasting at their original shop. Parking was tedious
Diego was very kind and the chocolate was delicious!
This place smells like chocolate before you even walk in. I went for a hot fudge sundae, a milkshake, and a brownie sundae because honestly it all looked too good to skip.
The hot fudge is thick and kind of intense, almost too much but in a good way. The milkshake is simple, creamy, nothing complicated. The brownie sundae is the heavy one, warm brownie mixed with cold ice cream and fudge that kind of melts everything together.
It’s touristy, sure, but still feels like one of those places you go once and then somehow end up remembering later.
