Ghirardelli Chocolate Experience is more hype than heaven.
Sure, it’s iconic and looks great on Instagram, but the sundaes? Just okay. Overpriced for what you get standard ice cream, heavy syrup, and a whole lot of waiting in line. If you’re already in the area, it’s fine for a quick sugar fix or the novelty. But definitely not the best sundae you’ll ever have, despite what the crowds might suggest

This place was so cute! Very busy and small gift shop but super cool to see! Bring back the earthquake sundae!!!

Amazing chocolates.

Bad quality ice cream. Brownies are never impressive.

Waited way too long for a couple of sundaes when it wasn’t very busy, but the sundae itself was pretty good. However, everything was way too pricey for the average family. Spent significantly more on 4 sundaes (2 mini) than my family did for our gigantic dinner.

If you walk around they have some nice views of the bay.

Extremely slow service

Nice place, very busy but good place to sit and enjoy chocolates

This place is going downhill fast. Dirty, lacking utensils, and poor service. Avoid it, not worth the money.

We stopped in for a milkshake and a hot cocoa, and both were absolutely delightful. Rich, smooth, and everything you’d hope for from a Ghirardelli experience. A sweet stop worth every sip!

WOW!!!! I didn't know Ghirardelli was right in San Francisco. My friend decide to take me here to give a try for desert. Soon I walk in my eye was wide open. Way too many candy type and variety chocolate to eat. I order Gold Rush for my first ice cream from them. Man it was too delicious and I highly recommend. Yes there were other favor you can order, but I really like Gold Rush Ice cream. yyuuummmmyyy!!!!

The interior was very gorgeous and super clean. The staff was awesome and serve my ice cream professionally. Keep up!! I decide to get some candy for my Mother and she love it!!!
I'm grateful to see my first chocolate company in my life.
They have restaurants and activities around them.

Quiet in the morning

What a wonderful experience, we had just left Fishermans Wharf and was about to head back to San Jose when we spotted this, it was near closing time so we didn't get the full experience but the atmosphere was nice and very promising. We'll be back soon! Looking forward to the Beer Garden and lobster rolls.
