Perfect place, too small for the amount of visitors
The so-called experience is just a really expensive chocolate shop. $8 for a single chocolate strawberry is wild.
Probably a nice spot to have some lunch and look at the view
The chocolate was delicious, and the whole experience was fun and enjoyable. The staff were friendly, and it was a nice place to visit with family. Definitely worth checking out if you love chocolate
This was nice but didn’t really meet my high expectations… i was expecting much more but overall is very nice
Worst tourist trap I’ve been to. Be prepared to donate a kidney or two for a scoop of ice cream
The best hot fudge Sunday in San Francisco
Its good. But I felt slightly overrated.
In the red brick building, there is a smaller Ghirardelli store and a bigger one that sells the sundaes, drinks, and has a bigger gift shop. We got the World Famous Hot Fudge Sundae - $17.50 / 970 calories and shared it. Definitely sharable! There were a few tables with a great view of the bay and if you are lucky - brave people swimming in the cold water.
Besides smaller gift sets, there are three main ways to buy bulk Ghirardelli candy although expect to pay more for the privilege of buying it in their store. They have 1 pound and 2 lb bags of their Signature (raspberry, caramel, 60% dark chocolate, mint) and Dark Chocolate, and may be others but those are what I got. The Dubai chocolate is more expensive.
They also sell 1/2 pound for $20 of flavors you can pick, except Dubai, which is more expensive, but you can pick the flavors you want - I highly recommend the lava and mint chocolate.
Iconic chocolate place.
Very cool place, but also very busy!

Overrated. Crazy expensive.
Located near the wharf overlooking the bay, houses the famous Ghirardelli ice cream outlet along with few more shops and restaurants. If you are a chocolate afficiando, don't miss a visit here and taste their famous chocolates and chocolate based ice creams. All their menu items are awesome, but landfill stands out. Their salted caramel hot chocolate is great. Views of Alcatraz and bay from the square is nice
I really like the chocolate and hot fudge
WHAT A LOVELY PLACE! Workers were so kind, the dessert was delicious! Watch out for the wild coyotes in the area! I was spooked.
Complete tourist trap and waste of time. Seating is ridiculous. They have the whole upstairs section closed with customers waiting for tables and families having to sit separately. Also, my brownie Sunday was supposed to be served with a warm brownie and hot fudge, both were as cold as the ice cream.
