This is a solid bar on Valencia! We walked in after 10 PM on a Satuday and it was popping, but it wasn't super busy. They have a pool table at the back and a row of tables along the side. It's got a great, casual vibe to it. Everyone looked like they were having lots of fun. They had a mix of baseball and soccer on the TVs above the bar. We started with the Sangria. I read that the Phoenix is getting demolished, but unclear when! I don't live close enough to go here often, but I've always enjoyed it. Bartenders and other bar flies are fun to talk with, and the calamari was good... Though you should really stop eating octopus because they are capable of culture and social hierarchy. Anyway, I'm heading over to get a last beer and soak in the 21 year old bar.

Great service! Loved the fish tacos; skirt steak taco was also great but fish was better. Our friend did not like the corned beef taco as it was dry & had a sweet-ish sauce. 4.6 stars if I could.
