Coolest bar in Bernal
Moody bar with perfect lighting and a unique vibe. LP player going nonstop; all kinds of bluesy classics going. Excellent service and a cocktail menu worth multiple awards.

If you walk into The Royal Cuckoo and are not an instant fan of The Royal Cuckoo then maybe think about what’s going on with you - are you okay? is everything okay? - and then maybe sit down and have a beer anyway. Quirky bars with year-round string lights are the best kinds of bars, and this one has an organ and/or vinyl records playing on top of it.

Saturday night. Organ player and guitarist made the atmosphere. Crowd was boisterous and eclectic. Cocktails hit the mark. I left glowing.

A charming local dive, dimly-lit and often with live organ music that gives a festive air. Some of the more reasonably-priced drinks that you'll find in SF, it also has a cozy and unpretentious patio.

No wifi, owner was rude, and inside smelt misty and maybe even moldy. Would not recommend.
