Loved everything about it. We ordered fettuccini in garlic rose butter sauce. It was absolutely divine. Loved the pizzas as well - we tried cremini mushrooms, margaritaa pizza, vampire killer pizza, everything was delicious and we will be returning soon đ

This is not a full review, I only had there famous garlic ice-cream, which tasted like, as you can guess, garlic, I personally did not like it, but you might.

Hard to overemphasize how much garlic you'll experience. I'm a fan through and through which makes this an incredible experience.

We had a reservation for around 6:00 and came even earlier than expected. We were told that they need some tables to turn over so we had to wait, despite our reservation. However, I saw a family of around 6 or so people (white folks) who got seated immediately without reservations, even being given an option to sit outside if they wanted (an option not given to us) but somehow even got to sit inside! Ha! I donât want to make this about race, but being the one of the only groups inside there who were Asian, MORESO Southeast Asian, but after this experience I would NOT recommend any Filipinos or other Southeast Asian folks to go here. Would also like to mentioned the moment we decided to leave, some white woman server almost chased us down to threaten us by saying âAre you guys leaving? If you guys leave you wonât be able to *insert something about still being able to eat at their restaurant*â. Not sure if there are other experiences like this, but as someone who has lived in San Francisco for all their life, it saddens me that even established places like this can make Asian people/POC feel like this.

The Stinking Rose is a well established restaurant in San Francisco. I slipped minutes before close on a busy weekend, and were welcomed by great hospitality by the manager. We tried their Bagna Calda (garlic and bread), mussels and shrimp on a hot skillet, and garlic ice cream. As a garlic fan, this meal hit the spot. If youâre looking to celebrate a birthday here, do it! The wait staff sing in a roaring unison the birthday song to make sure the entire room knows youâre part of the birthday group!

So yummy and fun! A really enjoyable experience, great food and great fun people watching and being in such a lively restaurant. Bagna Calda was awesome, very mild and an original version of garlic bread. Servings were the perfect size. Wait staff were super kind and attentive. They bust butt working really hard to keep everything running smoothly- super impressive! My only complaint was that it was colder inside upstairs than it was outside on a windy night. I wouldâve ate outside if Iâd known it was so cold inside. Otherwise an amazing time!

Bagna calda, roasted garlic in oil (maybe olive oil) and salty crusty bread was delicious.
Mixed green salad with crab meat was atrocious. Greens were doused in dressing that had no flavor and dusted (not much) with crab meat that was dry and tasteless. It appeared to have been frozen too long. All for almost $30.
Seafood fettuccine was properly cooked ( seafood wasn't tough) but sauce was ordinary. It could have been from a jar. No better than diner food. In fact, I've had better pasta at diners.

We had a reservation for 7 PM ⊠a reservation.
We didnât sit at our table till 7:40 PM ! 40 minutes late.
They sat us down at the worst table possible. You would expect with the delay that you would get a decent table but no! We got the worst table right off the stairs and right next to the kitchen.
No respect for reservations and complete lack of awareness for peopleâs time and schedule.
We havenât eaten yet but all this complete disregard is completely discouraging.

Absolutely amazing place, the food is something you don't want to miss once in your life. And all the ambience lets you feel like a good human being protected from the bloody vampires while you are eating, a funny sanctuary to have your last dinner in the end of the world. If you haven't got it, almost everything will have garlic, so ensure to love this ingredient and enjoy the bread.
