Pasta dishes were very small but decent. Garlic chicken sandwich was good and reasonable for the cost though.

Parking was really difficult, it’s best to take public transit. The menu didn’t have as many options as I would’ve liked. I remember there being more fresh garlic as opposed to roasted, but the roasted is better and doesn’t linger in your pores as much. Lemon torte wasn’t lemon-y enough but the cheesecake was fantastic

I was highly disappointed the Stinking Rose I am comparing it with the Stinking Rose Rose in
Beverly Hills and the tase in the iron skillet is totally different . I've been wanting to eat there for years so disappointed. Why did they change recipes 😪😪😪. I even told the waiter why would they change the recipe? This is horrible. Please bring back the stinking rolls and Beverly Hills put it in Los Angeles south LA anywhere just bring it back with the right menu.

We used to love coming to The Stinking Rose, and it was one of our favorite restaurants in the city. Unfortunately, our latest experience on Valentine’s Day was extremely disappointing.
The service was very poor from the start. One of the restaurant’s signature touches is the complimentary garlic bread, which we’ve always enjoyed and which makes the experience special. However, it was never brought to our table. After waiting for quite some time and seeing that every other table had it, I politely asked our waiter if it had been discontinued. He said it had not and that he would bring it. Even after another 25 minutes, it never arrived.
We also politely asked for Parmesan cheese and pepper for our pasta, which is a very normal request. Again, despite asking, no one ever brought it.
Throughout the evening, it felt like our table was being ignored. We were polite and patient, but our requests were simply not fulfilled. It was frustrating and disappointing, especially at a restaurant we used to love and on a special occasion like Valentine’s Day.
Sadly, based on this experience, I cannot recommend it.

I love this place because I LOVE garlic! The thing they don't tell you is that garlic will be sweating out of your pores for about a day and a half, afterwards.🤣 It's funny now, but I went to my friend's party the day after eating here, and at one point I noticed everyone sitting on the other side of my room because I smelled so much of garlic 😅.

I loved the pizzas here. Everything we ordered was wonderfully garlicky, which is exactly how I like it! Service was great too!

Overall, a fantastic spot for date night. Sitting outside on a sunny day in San Francisco feels about as close to Europe as you can get. They have heaters, so it’s warm and comfortable even when the temperature drops.
We ordered the Acme baguette, ribeye with Caesar, shrimp skillet, and the Honig Sau Blanc. Knocked a star since the owner doesn’t like for the bread to be pre-cut, a bit annoying to cut a baguette on the table.
The steak was incredible, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The Caesar dressing is made in-house, and you can absolutely taste the difference. The shrimp skillet was good, though the portion felt a bit small for the price.
It’s also a great place to stop in for shared appetizers and drinks while people-watching. Service was fast and friendly. An SF classic for a reason.
This place was amazing!! As a garlic lover I was so excited to try this place. Not only was the feed amazing but the service was great as well. 10/10 experience all around and definitely recommend!!

Food was alright. Yes some dishes are garlicky, however the ravioli I got had 0 garlic in them. Was disappointed in my main course. The bread was too hard and the dipping sauce was average at best. The service wasn't too consistent. Pricey & not worth the flavor or service. This place is overrated!

Neat location in SF’s Little Italy. Love the vampire theme. Be prepared for the garlic (silly thing to say for going to a garlic themed restaurant) Even as garlic fan, it was a lot and my nose hairs have probably been singed. I had the garlic spread and dungeoness crab. Both were delicious.
