Got their chicken melt on a whim and GASPED after my first bite. I’ve never had such a surprising sandwich eating experience. It is so rich and flavorful.

Love this place. The mushroom thyme and cheese croissant is so yummy and the garden divine! With coffee tax and tip $10. Sf original!

New to the neighborhood and could not have stumbled into a nicer shop. The employee, Aries, was SO friendly and helpful. I ended up getting the Ham and Cheese Croissant that was recommended to me and it was so probably one of the best croissants I’ve ever eaten, so I got another one to go for my lunch today.

The back patio was beautiful and everyone on the staff was friendly. The prices were also super reasonable, especially compared to the other cafes on the same street. I’m already excited to go back and this will definitely be my new favorite spot to go to before work in the mornings.

One of the best if not the best spots in this area. Delicious croissants, pastries, coffee, salad and sandwiches.

I've only been to Thorough Bread a few times IRL for coffee and pastries, but my husband probably visits there several times a month when he's in the neighbourhood, and it's been a win every time! It works well for grab-and-go, but there are also a few tables inside, plus a back patio with more seating that's really nice on a good day (although it can get crowded sometimes).

The coffee is fine, but the pastries are the real reason we go. Our current favourites are a savoury ham pastry and a sweet almond pastry, but they rotate offerings - including themed treats for holidays and events - so it's always fun to try something new. Compared to other bakeries in the city, the prices feel more reasonable, and the location is easy to reach on foot or by public transit (MUNI station nearby).

Lovely, quiet patio since they don't play music. It was fairly empty ~4p on a Sunday. Tasty pastries. They have a bulletin board for the community, too.

My husband and I have been coming here for a long time, and we decided to get catering from thoroughbread for our baby shower. Julie and team went out of the way to customize the menu for our group size, and everything was absolutely delicious! We cannot recommend thoroughbread enough - thank you for the amazing food and hospitality!

Subpar service, food, and staff. Non-working A/C, no bagels and no ice (for coffee or otherwise).

Was accused of being homeless and a (very homeless looking, hourly wage making) cashier remarked that I should go back to Oakland today. Ironically, I’m a San Francisco homeowner and…I’ve never lived there…😂

Great food and coffee, a bit of a small space for how popular it is. The clientele can be a bit condescending.
