-veggie sandwich 9.8/10 excellent, just a bit more protein would have been nice. Bread was so freaking good

Would be great to see more vegan dishes and baked goods on the menu in the future!

Just FYI – this location does not serve iced coffee

Although their selection of pastries is quite delightful! I would definitely suggest this as a substitute for your usual donut. There are many sweet, jellied, breads, and chocolate desserts.

A cafe in a 21st century that does not have WiFi, do not have any iced drinks, only canned soda and margaritas available, and electric outlets to charge your laptop doesn’t work.

Really good sandwich- I was impressed by the ciabatta, an often dry and neglected art of a roll

Wonderful place. The backyard patio has great ambiance. I had a warm chicken sandwich that was excellent! Will definitely come back soon.

Thorough Bread is just so wonderful. From their mini cran-walnut and chocolate loafs to their croissants, you can’t go wrong. I love the local vibes, and the staff is always so welcoming. Don’t miss the chocolate chip cookies!

I recommend the sandwiches because the bread is baked on-site, and the ingredients are fresh. The variety of pastries, breads, and cookies is delightful. The staff is friendly and professional. The atmosphere is joyful. They have a peaceful back patio, although it is often busy. They also have outdoor seating in front. The inside is warm and welcoming, with seating as well.

I’ve been a loyal customer for years and have always appreciated the pastry selection, lunch options, and the cozy back patio—such a great spot for lunch or coffee.

Recently, however, I purchased a pastry from Thorough Bread through the Too Good To Go app, and to my disappointment, it turned out to be a day old. Unlike other SF bakeries on the app, which offer same-day pastries, this felt like a significant drop in quality. After just one bite, I placed it back in the bag and requested a refund.

I’ll be sharing my experience with others, as I believe transparency and consistent quality are essential (even for surplus sales).

Two thumbs down for this San Francisco based bakery. All others get 5 stars from me for their fresh TGTG pastries.

Excellent french bakery and pastry place. All the offerings are excellent, including the decaf coffee. The best part of the hidden seating in the garden behind the place.
Highly recommended for food and atmosphere.

They close the garden patio early. On a beautiful day like this? Why? Besides not wanting to work
