Incredible time with the loveliest staff. Highly recommend to anyone visiting San Francisco.
Priceless views of the city.
The staff even brought out gluten free bread options with the charcuterie board. So kind.

Great view, but drinks and atmosphere are mid; definitely a side quest, not a main event. Limited food options.
Top of the Mark had some awesome views of San Francisco and decent drinks. I don't think I'd prioritize coming back next time I'm in town, but for sure would come back with a group.

I visited this past weekend with my teenage children and their mom. The experience was truly Top of the Mark! Fortunately, it was a clear evening so the views were fantastic. All of the appetizers were great and exactly as described. The service is where this establishment really took the cake. We began our experience with a bottle of Champagne perfectly presented by our server. My son and daughter each had beautiful mocktails. The staff was beyond attentive. While waiting for our libations we spilled a glass of water and our server was at our side cleaning it up before a drop hit the floor. The service was so impeccable I can only compare it to my experience at FIG in Charleston, SC (2 Michelins stars). I have celebrated many special moments at TotM; however, this time they really outdid themselves. I highly recommend this establishment as part of the San Francisco experience.

Well worth a visit for the views alone. Lively crowd and menu was tasty (apps and desserts only) while you sip on your wine or cocktail. My server Juliana was particularly welcoming and kind. A must do for a special occasion or for visitors from out of town. Recommended!

Birthday dessert at Top of the Mark! This enclosed rooftop experience inside the Intercontinental Mark Hopkins in San Francisco is a must. Cocktails, mocktails, small plates, live music, and incredible views of the city!
We especially loved the Squadron Bottle story! During WII, soldiers would visit the Top of the Mark either as a farewell or a celebration when they came home. During that time, a tradition began. Soldiers would leave a bottle of bourbon with a written note taped around it. A shot was to be shared with fellow soldiers, and whomever took the last shot would have to replace the bottle with a personalized note. This tradition is still going today!
Highly recommended for a romantic evening out!

This review is for the bar and, more specifically, bartender Arman. My friend and I were visiting San Francisco and spontaneously decided to check out the view and the drinks at Top of the Mark one evening. Arman was lovely - he had some bartending tricks up his sleeves, was very entertaining to talk with, and the drinks were delicious. What stood out above all of that was his diligence in our safety. There was a man at the bar exhibiting very sketchy behavior towards my friend and me. Arman not only called this man out on his behavior but also very subtly had security escort us out when we were ready to leave to ensure he did not follow us. Top marks to Arman at Top of the Mark - we appreciate you! If any ladies are looking for a safe spot to have a classy girls' night, we highly recommend going to see him.

Top of the Mark is a legendary roof top bar in Non Hill. The 360 views are amazing and the staff were really nice. Loved the Squadron Shot tradition and if you served should definitely partake and leave a bottle for your battle buddies.

The Top of the Mark is a high-end restaurant bar ideal for spending an evening with friends and/or loved ones. The space is great for special celebrations, anniversaries or dates. The Top of the Mark features a dancing floor and stage for music bands, a bar, and tables with a 360 degree views of the beautiful city of San Francisco, California.
The Jazz nights with Nick Rossi and tge Swing Four are my favorites.

Top of the Mark is an absolute must when in San Francisco. This iconic rooftop lounge has been around since 1939 and still holds all the charm, elegance, and history that made it famous in the first place. From the moment you step inside, the classic decor and sweeping views set the scene. You really feel like you are stepping into a timeless part of the city’s story.
The vibe is refined yet relaxed with soft lighting, live music on some nights, and a mix of locals and travelers soaking in the atmosphere. And the views are truly incredible. You can see the Golden Gate Bridge, the Bay, the skyline, and even the Marin Headlands on a clear day. Whether you come at sunset or later in the evening, it is absolutely magical.
We ordered the tuna tartare and the steak and both were outstanding. The tuna was fresh and well balanced with great flavor, and the steak was tender and cooked just right. The cocktails were also a highlight. They were thoughtful, creative, and very well made.
Top of the Mark is not just a bar or a restaurant. It is a San Francisco institution that combines history, great food, and unforgettable views all in one place.

A group of my coworkers and I were staying at the Ritz Carlton Residences (I know!) on a Tuesday night and decided to walk here for some apps and cocktails around 7. It was an uphill walk, so we were hungry! The restaurant is on top of the Intercontinental Hotel, you just go straight to the elevators and push the T button. The hostess greeted us right away, my coworker called beforehand to make a reservation & the hostess happily remembered.
We were seated right by the window on the left side when you walk in, I rec the left side, but can't really go wrong with either. In the middle is where live music takes place but there was none happening that night. Service was fast and friendly! Miguel was very attentive!
Espresso martini was more coffee than creamy which I can't complain bc it was so good & strong!
A must are the short rib sliders!! Huge chunks of short ribs then shred perfectly when you bite into them! Also love the shrimp tacos! Those tortillas may be some of the best I've had!
The homemade ranch chips were good, not much ranch seasoning but good to snack on while drinking. Margarita flatbread was tasty as well. They also have an asparagus flatbread I want to try next time.
Has an old school rich vibe to the place, carpet floors always give a vibe. Overall a great place w yummy food & drinks. Just like anywhere in SF, it's pricey! For three drinks & 3 apps for 3 people it was about 141$ including tip. But worth it for a night out!

This could have been a lovely spot to enjoy a cocktail and soak in the views if only…
1. The outdated interior, old furniture, and worn carpets. Okay, fine. We can call it vintage charm if we’re being generous. Not exactly a dealbreaker, just a half-minus.
2. But the food? Practically non-existent in quality. We ordered something labeled as a Margherita pizza, but honestly. It felt like a frozen 7/11 heat-and-serve situation. The hummus dish wasn’t much better. Disappointing.
3. The windows were filthy, which really killed the whole “enjoy the view” part.
4. My glass came with a visible lipstick stain. Not mine. That’s just gross.
5. And yet I might have been willing to overlook all of this, really, if the service had made up for it. A friendly welcome can make up for a lot. But no. I arrived first, reservation was under my friends’ name, and the host flat out dismissed me. He said the reservation didn’t exist and walked away!!! Rude and unnecessary!
When my friends showed up, he was still curt, but at least decided to seat us Inside, the lone waitress was doing her best literally sprinting between tables. She was clearly overwhelmed. On a busy Friday night, it’d be nice if more staff pitched in so she doesn’t have to do it all alone (and maybe, just maybe, has time to check if the glasses are actually clean).

It's a special treat to go to The Top of the Mark. That being said, I know that the cost of drinks and food will not be a bargain. I was ready to spend, but what really got me was that we got charged $26 for an Old Fashion. The bar menu does not list drink prices, but an Old Fashion is a pretty standard drink. My martini with premium vodka was $18, which I understand, but $26 for a standard whiskey drink? Keep in mind she didn't order any special whiskey, just whatever their well was. Our total bill with tip was $225 for 2 martinis, 2 Old Fashions, 1 glass of rose, potato chips, 1 order of sliders, and 1 charcuterie platter.
