Great food, outstanding service, love the black and white movie reminding me of how much we've changed in the past 50-60 years as a culture. And thank you for the free donuts just for going to an A.C.T. play that night. Well run, delightful place!

Absolutely beautiful restaurant and amazing ambiance. Has an upscale Italian vibe that is hard to find nowadays. Ordered one of the house made pizzas and found it to be good yet the sauce was a little sweet for my liking. Had a little issue in which they added a tip for themselves for my takeout order that left me questioning the integrity of the staff and very unhappy.

Food is OK but pricey. The skirt steak is reliably good. We paid a $4 upcharge to get potatoes instead of polenta, which is OK but other restaurants would just do the substitution. The swordfish was properly prepared and a reasonable size but the vegetables underneath were rather muddy-tasting and uninspired. There was confusion about whether we both ordered minestrone to start and when one arrived we let them know we had intended to get two. It took two more inquiries before someone finally brought a second one ... it's soup, there's usually just a few seconds of prep needed.

Amazing food! My family and I visited this restaurant during our trip to SF and we all loved it! It’s a nice, family-friendly restaurant in the Tenderloin. The food was absolutely delicious and our server was great! I had their pepperoni pizza, calamari, and Prosecco. No complaints from anyone in my group. It was a great experience, and we’d all go again.Kid-friendliness: Kids are allowed at this restaurant.

Kind, friendly, low-key staff made for a great experience. Tasty Chardonnay, scrumptious arugula salad with yummy parmean crisps, and house-made broccolini pesto gnocchi. I'll be back. Thank you, Tratto!

Food was great, staff was great. Costs were moderate to high but I felt the value was excellent. I did drop a point on ambiance because we had to step over human waste to get to the door. It's not entirely the restaurants fault but it does drop the quality of the experience.

Different food choices than I was expecting for an Italian restaurant but very good. The bolognese was great. You can get steak, a burger, fish, pizza, pasta and various other things.

I wish I was able to give half stars, as I feel like 3 stars isn’t enough, but 4 is too many.I made reservations well in advance (2 weeks out) to eat here before a concert. I was immediately disappointed walking in when they sat us in a corner without a chair (forced to sit side by side) and immediately next to another occupied table when most of the restaurant was empty. There was something really weird about it. The server was nice and very efficient, so efficient that sometimes I felt like he was just trying to turn over the table. I had the swordfish which was lackluster and overcooked, but the bed of squash, beans, and kale were fantastic. The pesto helped lighten the cook on the swordfish. We ordered the tiramisu and Italian donuts for dessert, which definitely were the star of the show. The donuts were hot and delicious with a perfect slightly doughy center. The tiramisu was excellent as well, it was the perfect consistency and texture. The double espresso (affogato) was a perfect close to the meal.

The place is beautiful and spacious but has poor service. Average food with some positive points but the service team was very weak. Sometimes, it seemed like they couldn't handle the few tables occupied (there were only 4 in a room that was over 20 months old). When paying, be very careful. They ask for a tip on top of a bill that already has a tip and local taxes.

This was a lovely experience :) There was free coffee and tea offered, delicious. The french toast was delicious with the syrup and the bacon was great. I loved the hot chocolate!! It came with a cute cow to pour milk in it and was so cute! The ambience was so calm and welcoming, and our waitress was very kind and attentive to us. This place was great!

We were seated quickly at a table my companion preferred, even though it was a slightly larger table, as she wanted to be away from doorway/draft. Food well prepared, arrived quickly but timing was not rushed at all, House chianti by the glasss seemed very well paired to our dinners. Waiters were friendly and quick to respond to requests. Considering location, price is reasonable (in theater district, within a block of several theaters with a lot of foot traffic and I expect very high rents).
