This was a wonderful experience! From the time I entered the Manager called me by name/ knew we were on a limited time issue. We had Theatre tickets- and could not be late. They had a table ready- and the waiter was ready as quickly as we were. The restaurant is on the corner- inside a hotel. Old school San Francisco. Just beautiful. The best Ilalian Food Ive had in a long time. If your in Union Square- this one is perfect!
Very nice atmosphere. I didn't care for my clam bucatini as it was a little too salty but my husband got the spaghetti and meatballs and he loved it. We also shared a tiramisu and that was very good.
This was my first visit to Tratto, and it served one of the best Italian meals I've had in years. I started off with the Gem Lettuce Caesar Salad. My dinner companion and I asked to share the salad, and the kitchen served it on two plates so we did not have to divide the salad ourselves. This was a nice touch and showed a level of care that set the tone for the entire meal. Although most Caesar salads are served with Romain lettuce, the gem lettuce was a refreshing change....
