Spent 3 days in SF and in those 3 days had to come back multiple times to eat! My super picky girlfriend loved it and so did I. I had a delicious combination of flavors I had never had before. YOU HAVE TO TRY THE GARLIC BREAD. 10/10 reccomend this place.

P.S their staff if super friendly and nice!

It’s hard to find momos where I live at so I was very excited to be able to have them here! The food was perfect portions to share with another person. The service was so nice! They were great at helping us decide our meal :)

My friends and I took takeout from here and the food was extremely bland even though we took told them to make it all the spiciest they could.

Momos filling was alright but the covering was extremely chewy. The fried rice tasted very bland. The chicken Biryani had all bone in pieces and barely any meat. Rice had barely any flavour. And the goat curry was disappointing as an Indian who has tasted goat curries from various Indian restaurants now and understands that tenderness of the meat is very important along with the consistency of the curry.

Won't recommend it, sorry.

Had the curry chicken, roti, and chicken momo to start. All were excellent, seasoned perfectly, and absolutely delicious. Service is quick and very friendly too. Will be back for sure!

EDIT: it’s been almost 3 years since I first went to Trisara and recently stopped by when passing through San Francisco. It’s still AWESOME! So glad to see so many 5 star reviews for this gem. This visit was another solid 5 stars and I know I’ll be back on my next trip to the Bay Area.

My friend and I came here with my two daughters who are six and seven because we were really craving authentic Nepali food. She searched online and found Tirsara, and I cannot explain how excited I was. As someone who genuinely loves Nepali cuisine, I walked in full of anticipation and honestly joy. I was already imagining comforting flavors.

That excitement disappeared almost immediately after we entered and spoke with the waitress. When we asked about Nepali dishes, she told us that aside from momo and jhol momo there were no other Nepali items on the menu. Hearing that was heartbreaking. We had come specifically for Nepali food, walked a good distance to get there, and had two little girls with us. At that point we felt stuck, so we decided to order two orders of chicken momo and one order of jhol momo and hoped for the best.

While waiting, my younger daughter became distracted by flies flying around our table, which was already uncomfortable and not something you want to deal with while dining, especially with children. When the food finally arrived, it was another letdown. The momo were overcooked and falling apart, lacking the texture and care you expect from such a simple but beloved dish.

The kids barely ate their food, which says a lot because they are usually happy with momo. My friend and I did not want to waste the food, so we pushed ourselves to eat even though we were not enjoying it. What was meant to be a comforting and exciting meal turned into something we just wanted to get through.

We came here with high anticipation and left feeling highly disappointed. This experience was especially upsetting because we were genuinely looking forward to sharing authentic Nepali food with my children. Unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations at all, and it is not a place I would return to or recommend for someone seeking real Nepali cuisine.

Food was good, service was pretty slow though. We ended up here after a massive black out on the city, but it's good because this was a new place for us. Food is tasty, really like the dumplings and the shrimp tika.

The food at Trisara Indo-Nepalese Restaurant was overall okay. The fried rice was good, but the noodles and Manchurian had a slightly sweet taste, which took away from the authentic flavor. The mango kulfi didn’t taste very fresh, which was a bit disappointing. On a positive note, the service was good and attentive. Overall, an average dining experience with room for improvement in authenticity and consistency.

Some of the best fish pakora and tandoori chicken that I've ever had. Fish was perfectly fried and the chicken tandoori was transcendent. Moist, delicious, great char flavor from the tandoor oven and the wonderful spices from the marinade was perfectly balanced. Highly recommend trying it out!

Had a really good meal at Trisara. It’s an Indo-Nepalese and Asian restaurant with simple interiors but amazing food.

The salmon curry with rice was the highlight flavourful and honestly better than many Indian restaurants I’ve tried. The paneer tikka masala with garlic naan was equally good and very satisfying.

Service was warm and polite, and the overall vibe felt relaxed and genuine.

If you’re looking for great food without the hype or fancy setup, this place is definitely worth visiting.
Highly recommended. 5/5.
