Excellent food and attention from our server Peter. Highly recommend for authentic food and an amazing wine list. We bought an extra bottle to take home. Thanks Peter!

Authentic Italian food in the heart of Bernal heights. Went there for dinner - absolutely loved the halibut catch of the day and the ragu papadelle. Restaurant was not stingy with the sauce and it was really tasty. You know the food is good when the owner knows the regulars and greets them ! And a lot of the diners were regulars which says a lot about the food !

I got the vegetariana pizza with vegan mozzarella and it was fantastic! Can’t think of the last time I had such a delicious vegan pizza, I loved it.

Very disappointed with my experience. Arrived with two people, was not helped and told there was a 10-15 min wait. Waited and never was attended to. Just told to sit outside. Seemed like multiple people were being attentive to everyone but us. Guess my money isnt good or something? I hope it was just because staff was too busy. For now horrible experience wont recommend if you ever want to sit and order.

Lamb chops arrived in a pool of grease and were completely bland. Tasteless friend polenta and neutral mushrooms. The Caesar salad was touted as having “homemade” dressing. It was a vinegarette NOT a Caesar dressing which is creamy and tastes of anchovies, Parmesan and garlic. One of the worst meals I have ever had and it was about $50 for one person. Don’t ever go here.

With so many Italian restaurants around it’s hard to find one that really is a special experience, or stands out from the crowd - this is it.

From the welcome to the wafts of delicious food, the local feel and service this place is an absolute gem - just a lovely vibe & food in what feels like a truly local eating place.

My girlfriend wasnt ready to order yet but the rest of the table was. She needed a couple more minutes to think so she let everyone else ordered and said it was okay if her food came after everyone else. The waiter said that it was perfectly fine and nice about it. Two minutes later, an older white man (i assume who is the owner) was rushing her to order and saying she is holding the kitchen and being rude. This made my girlfriend cry as she felt like she didn’t do anything wrong. Other than that, everyone else was nice. Two people actually went up and apologized on his behalf but the man did not. Other than that, the food was okay and the service was good besides that one mishap.
