The service was great and the food felt fresh but it is produced without gloves and the knife used to cut the pizza was used to cut open plastic and was not washed. Other than that the food was ok not amazing. It’s good for a quick bite. The lasagna is pretty good.Vegetarian options: Veggie lasagna, sandwiches, and pizza available.

Pizza was horrible. We could not eat it. We gave it to a hungry hobo and he spit it out. Do not go to this place. Starving hobos will not eat here for free.

These guys know how to make a damn good slice. Just that simple. If you order a silgle, ask them to put some love on it though cause I've received a few slightly abused pieces XD. seriously good and fast NY style pizza. Absolutely fire.

Delicious! Greek pizza is delicious. Workers are kind. Fish and chips are a must get.

This place and its service is as bad as the neighborhood and the location. I placed an online order, received confirmation, amount charged to my bank account, received pick up instructions and when I got there, the guy told me he didn’t have any orders, on top of that he didn’t even try to solve the issue, not an apology, didn’t even offer to place a new order, didn’t even ask what I ordered. The guy was rude and told me to figure it out, turned his back on me and left me at the counter. I guess this is all you can expect from this place: bad service and rude, mediocre staff.

I'm a transplant from southern NY (Westchester and Bronx), so obviously a pizza snob; this place is the closest to a NY pie you can get in San Fran. I've been to a few other places that non NY's swear is just like pizza from NY and those other places are NOT, Modena's is. As long as I am in San Fran this will be the only place I go for a slice or the whole pie.

In the description of this restaurant, it dressed it up in sheeps clothing, the place is very small with very little tables and seating. Not to mention its in a super unfortunate part of town that no one should walk through at night…

Good non-greasy pizza. Slice was pretty big, I think from 18 inch pizza.

I've only got one thing to say about modena's Pizza..... Is the hands down absolute no doubt about it. Best pizza in the city. The location sucks but what can you do? It's 6th Street. That's the armpit of San Francisco. But other than that man the food is good

Ordered my food through the website and it came wrong. They also sent me a different type of drink than I ordered. They refused to refund me my money. Poor service, do not recommend.

Pizza is ok.. the tomato sauce (or cheese?) makes it a bit salty. The variety reflects the American tastes.
