Absolutely incredible. We had a closed dinner and it was Italian. I lived in Italy and it's hard to impress me with Italian restaurants. Wonderful radicchio salad. Incredible pasta Bolognese and tortelli (served separately), and then an amazing bistecca fiorentina. The only suggestion would be to cook the bistecca on a bed of rosemary based in lovie oil, which many Fiorentini do. Then, REAL, freshly made gelato. Light as air. I ate way too much

This is such a beautiful place for a dinner with a friend or two or by yourself. The food is delicious and nicely plated. The wine choices are geeky and distinctive!

We bought a couple of baguettes from this place and they were great.

In the age of Covid, we need to treat ourselves. What better way than provisions like fancy $12 dried pastas from Italy and natural pétillant wines the color of pink sunsets from hipster vignerons.

The atmosphere is nice but unfortunately the waitstaff, especially our waiter who was a tall gentlemen with chin-length black hair and olive-skinned complexion, had the worst attitude. His attitude was so clearly unpleasant that even my boyfriend had noticed it. Before we left, I approached him on my way out to let him know that we didn't appreciate his attitude. Instead of simply apologizing, he simply looked at me, shrugged, and said "ok". I can't even stress how appallingly poor customer service that is, even in terms of basic human decency. I dine out quite a bit in SF and I can tell you there are far, far better establishments in terms of food, drink, and where staff are actually pleasant, hospitable, and unpretentious.

Great people and especially perfect baked goods.

It's a lovely shop with terrific grocery items. However, careful with the cellar wines -- bought myself an aged Barolo as a Christmas present and it was completely corked. :( Several hundred dollars and a holiday ruined by wet cardboard-flavored Barolo!

I wish I had pulled the trigger sooner on visiting for a dining experience before COVID restrictions! I have made it in for some provisions the last few months and have been so impressed with many of the offerings! They have some very affordable wines for a wide array of tastes, not simply the hip natural wine connoisseur. And the pate en croute, terrines, and house made sausages are SO TASTY! And they don't break the bank either. Perfect stop for a weekend of indulgence at home during these nervous times. One of my family's favorite part about the visits we made are their farmers markets! The vegetables are on pricey side but so beautiful and tasty. They have their own farm in Bolinas, we got to meet farmer Taylor who was so sweet and knowledgeable, she gave us some cooking ideas for our sun chokes we bought. She also threw in a persimmon for my granddaughter to try which she LOVED! and the baker Esteban is there with some very AMAZING breads. My daughter can't do gluten and said their GF bread is the best she has had in SF. So neat to mingle with the artisans themselves. A must try for this special experience on Fridays now! What else is there to do now?

I rarely leave reviews but Verjus pushed it. Here is one of those places that is very popular, has a great vibe and makes delicious food, but that takes advantage of it.We were 4 people and put our names on the board to wait. They told us 20mn. We waited almost 2 hours. The real problem however is that the waitresses let several groups of 4/5 people sit before us, even though they had only waited for 10/15mn. When I asked for an explanation, they shrugged their shoulders and invented some bizarre explanation. I had to constantly ask them why they would let other people in front of us even though we were first on the list. It’s not because you have a cool restaurant that you should treat people like this. Please improve your service.

What a delightful find! From the social distancing, careful mask requirements, amazing service to the delicious food, we had THE best date night. And what a location looking up at one of SF's iconic landmarks. We had a perfect Chablis pairing with each French dish. We had the escarole, mushroom and egg salad (warm and yummy), the Omelette Boursin (so French), Beef torte, warm crisp/chewy baguette (and butter). I could have skipped the shrimp as that curry was not for me. As for the desserts, both lovely, but the crepe with apples were definitely the winner over the pain perdu. Will definitely return.

Modern take on french cuisine. Even amidst the quarantine, this place has not lost its charm. Reserve a spot, the local residents seem to always be there ahead of you.

Great meal at Verjus tonight. Super fun outdoor seating area and the staff was really attentive. Nice bottle selection with an emphasis on Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay on the whites. Didn't get into the reds too much but I thing they have a well balanced selection. Recommend the squid, salmon tartare and the apple crepe. Thanks!!

This is a great wine bar atmosphere - perfect for hanging out with friends or a date. They have a huge wine selection. I'm trying to become more of a wine connoisseur, so I went with a friend who is one. He asked the staff for a white manseng wine, which they didn't have on the shelf but brought from out back. I'm not usually a white wine person, but this one was neither too sweet nor too dry. We also got a cheese plate made from goat, sheep, and cow's milk. Very delicious. I loved everything about this experience. The staff were very thorough about ensuring guests adhered to COVID-19 guidelines.

I was slightly disappointed, but I started with extremely high hopes.Great food and wine. Slow service waiting for check. Super noisy. Probably won't go back on a Friday afternoon, but will go back.

The service initially was a bit average but soon picked up. Maybe it was the way we were dressed - given we had been doing tourist explorer things all day. The menu is interesting and good for grazing and delicious wines to match. Expensive, but we found a lot of the highly rates places in San Francisco were. Plus the exchange rate sucked for us.
