Took a recommendation from a friend to try this place. Out of everything we ordered, the only thing I liked was their avocado toast. Everything else was just decent and nothing worth mentioning. The vibe was definitely hipster and the customer service could improve a little. Overall, glad I checked this place out, but would not go out of my way to come here again.

Vive la tarte grew on me. It's decorated really modernly which is super interesting. It was a fun place for my coworkers and I to grab a quick bite to eat or get some matcha. I do think it's a bit on the pricier side, but the staff is really nice and the vibe is cool!

As good as it gets! Came here for breakfast and left very satisfied. Fast service. The avocado toast was perfect. There coffee was also excellent.

They “warm up” food I ordered for 15 minutes. I said to manager it was dry and hard and he said that’s how they do it. It was my first and last time, there.

My no.1 go to place for croissants! But make sure you arrive early (like 10am or earlier) otherwise chocolate/almond croissant are all gone..! Lol. If you want to try their famous monkey bread, 9am or earlier is your only chance before they sold out! Amazing flavors, always freshly baked.

Love this place. One thing I wish they did is enforce that people order before taking a spot/seat. I'd definitely finished ordering and had my food ready to come out and then gotten kicked out of a seat by a lady who was still waiting in line to order because she placed a jacket there earlier. Obviously this is not Vive la tarte's fault, but it is a very big open space, which doesn't automatically let you know where to do first. All of their baked good are amazing. The turmeric monkey bread is a little spicy which was a lovely surprise. The orange zest and za'atar croissant is an amazing combination of sweet and savory. I'm getting hungry writing about it, but I'd try everything and also get their regular lunch foods!

Visited some time ago when in SF. Great pasties and pizza bread! Love their desserts and cookies. Everything is great! Hoping to be back in SF soon and heading straight for their amazing goodies.

Definitely one of my go-to place for that instant croissant fix. The location is the heart of the operation. From breathing life to the buttery dough to baking the aromatic flakey goodness, everything is done here at the industrial bakery. A croissant lover you are, a wondrous experience you'll find!

Consistently awesome and fresh. From the bakery items to the savory brunch menu, this is a slice of heaven in SoMa. Looking forward to visiting again after SIP lifts.

Pricey but really good! Community seating so GOOD LUCK! Favorite out of the 4: mocha croissant and burrada pizza Here's the break down: Burrada pizza - super delish! Literally perfect balance of everything Truffle pizza - very mushroomy but yummy! Definitely not for the weak hearted meaning if you're a person that's like, eh yeah mushroom is okay, probably not for you. Could've been spread closer to the edge of the crust though. Mocha croissant - omg it's perfect but super hard to eat without creating a mess! Super flakey and the bottom is crispy and buttery deliciousness! There's filling in the inside that's different from the cream on top but not too sweet which is amazing! Almond croissant - very almondy, there's a dense filling in the inside and perfectly toasted almond slices on top. I'm not a big fan of almond flavored things so not my fave but my bf likes it and he was very happy with his croissant! Iced Latte: they use organic milk which is not common at most cafes. Not too strong but not weak in the coffee flavor. It comes in a cute stemless wine glass. My boyfriend was satisfied. Can't wait to come back and try some other things on the menu. But again, kinda pricey.

Pretty good spot. The pastries I tried were not bad at all, and the pizza-thing was actually pretty big for $8

Very fun space serving a variety of pastries and other baked goods. Stumbled upon this place while walking through the neighborhood with my boyfriend. The space is huge, clean and has an industrial style to it that makes it very unique. The food was also super good. We got the shash avo toast and the banana and ginger croissant. The croissant was delicious and had the perfect amount of "banana cream" that paired well. The avocado toast was also very good. It's topped with a poached egg and cherry tomatoes. Everything is definitely picture worthy! We also got a mocha which they bring to your table. Overall price point was a little expensive, but as expected and comparable to other coffee shops in the neighborhood.

Great place to hangout with your friends. The atmosphere is nice and the food delicious... I cannot get enough of the avocado tost!

The food is delicious but this place is so noisy (horrible music) and they won’t let you use their WiFi... not a great place to sit with your laptop if you need to get a few things done while eating
