The sushi was delicious and the service was amazing! The chef was super friendly. I was expecting it to be expensive but it was surprisingly very affordably priced.

A lovely little sushi bar hidden away in SOMA. Hands down the most delicious sushi I’ve ever had. The presentation was just gorgeous - from the rolls to the seaweed salad. Everything was fresh, so glad we stumbled upon this hidden gem!

This cozy little restaurant left me with a fairly good first impression. I kept it simple and ordered just a miso soup and a chirashi bowl for a light meal.

What surprised me the most was that the miso soup was served in a mug. While it was a creative presentation, it made it somewhat inconvenient to use chopsticks to pick up the seaweed and tofu that had settled at the bottom of the cup, slightly detracting from the dining experience.

As for the chirashi sushi deluxe, the rice was prepared reasonably well, and the box-style presentation made it look more appetizing. The sashimi was fresh, but it didn’t completely cover the rice. Instead, 1/3 of the bowl was topped with shredded daikon, which made the flavors feel a bit incomplete and lacking in richness. Given the portion size and overall experience, I felt the price was a bit on the higher side for what was offered.

Wabi-Sabi is a total gem. Their sushi is fresh and beautifully composed. The people who work there are so friendly. I personally recommend their Hotto Sake roll and any of the nigiri.

Terrific sushi spot - perfect for a 15’ stroll & lunch break from jury duty at 850 Bryant, visit to SFMOMA or Yerba Buena, et al. Fresh fish, beautifully plated & served with aloha. Unlike their Nob Hill branch, this location near 3rd & Bryant doesn’t have sake (yet), but the super-clean & friendly setting more than compensates. Kudos to the chef/owner - Hope to be back!

Fantastic affordable little sushi spot. The sushi was perfectly made, with freshest seafood and flavorful seasonings with a level of detail that’s hard to find on the east coast US. Highly recommend.

Don’t expect fancy decor or a long menu, but what they do, they do really well.

“Wabi Sabi is easily one of the best, if not the best, sushi spots around. The freshness of the sushi is remarkable, and the flavors are absolutely delicious. As someone with a Spanish palate, I often find sashimi challenging to enjoy, but here, both the sushi and sashimi exceeded my expectations. It was a truly exceptional experience!”

I came here last night and have never seen a worse service. An important note about this place, it only has 4-5 tables.

I waited for 15 mins for the waiter to take my order, asked her if I could make my order (to which she replied OK), and waited another 5 mins until I gave up.

Waiting 20 mins to make your order is unacceptable.

I also noticed the hygiene of the place was worrying, the chef would switch between his phone and holding other things only to wash his hands for less than a second before holding the raw fish.
