Our 2nd time here and highly recommended by my sister and brother in law. They live in San Francisco and frequently have lunch here and have been made to feel like family. The food is amazing from the pork and carrot house soup, roast duck, special chicken, squab, ribs and seaweed. Today we had the noodles with beef stew. Last time we had the Garlic noodles that was tasty without any meat. The waitstaff were Very Attentive! It was amazing to see how many to-go orders of duck and chicken that are hanging in the window that they go through as we watch while we eat our lunch. The restaurant is very clean. We don't have to ask for a new plate or napkins. Very attentive!

TLDR: quality items at reasonable prices, under new ownershipWe love their full soy sauce chicken, it is so moist and delicious. The red tofu with pork was also tasty with a nice gravy that goes well with white rice. The garlic pea sprouts had plenty of flavor and not too oily. I would highly recommend the chicken !!

Its been years since I've stepped foot in this place or ordered Chinese BBQ. But my husband heard from a coworker that they sell roast goose! So we decided to slowly give them a try again. We ordered the staples. cha siu- normal, nice glaze outside. some pieces are more dry than others. roast pork - husband likes it, I thought it was okay, I'm not a fan, because again some pieces are dry to me. tea yellow chicken - I think that's what it's called, their version of I guess soy sauce chicken/yellow chicken? It was pretty tasty! Some may say a littleeee salty but I liked it! duck - we thought it was again okay. I felt like it had good meat to fat ratio. Overall we were happy with what we got. Is it more expensive? Yes. We ordered twice in the past month and I think each order was easily over $50 but it did last a couple meals. I felt they were nice when I ordered with my choppy Chinese. Since we're walking distance, happy to support again. Will try their goose and report back!!

FYI: The prices shown here above @ Yelp are all outdated by far! They are double to triple what you see listed. This restaurant is gypping people at least people like us. Every time now that we order the same item they arbitrarily tack on an extra $.50 and today $1.00! We calculated the cost of the item (it's the same thing: won ton noodle soup with roast duck) the total with tax is $15.75. At first we were charged this amount. Then the woman waitress would add an additional $.50 & when asked she makes up the same lame excuse. Says that it's for the broth. Uh, a soup dish that has optional broth? One cannot name a dish 'soup' and not have it be assumed the customer isn't purchasing the broth too. What a stupid thing to say in order to get away with charging an additional amount illegally. Today the owner or server (male) decided to add an additional $1.00! We believe that because we are not Chinese and don't speak Cantonese these people are ripping us off. Well, this was the last straw: We've reported them to the City because this is totally unacceptable in many ways!

Just pick up roast duck n roast pork over rice combo , they has a new ownership. The portion is smaller , roast duck taste bad , not fresh (sour) n mix with 2 piece of soy sauce chicken. Looks like leave over from last night. The pork are mostly fat. I been eating here for the past 20 year now went thru 2 previous owner. That's it , no more!!!!!!!!!

Ok, rolled back though for another taste and it's safe to say the new owners have turned it around from when they first opened. Place is clean, newly remodeled and yes, they keep a few of the old staff. Mainly, the very nice waitress from before and the Sifu that cuts your bbq. Ordered 2, 2 bbq items and a wonton (no noodles). The broth was less salty and the wontons are almost the same as before. The bbq was a lot better and the roast pork was crunchy. The duck leg was juicy and had the right amount of fat. The prices are about the same plus a dollar or more, but in-par with others serving this style. Our combo rice plates were about 14-15 each. Keep it up! We'll be back for other menu items!

This was the skimpiest combination fried rice we have ever purchased. The rice barely had any pork or shrimp protein, with hardly any green onion as well. The flavor wss decent, but some of our rice felt undercooked and very firm.We ordered inside for takeout, and it was dead silent inside with a few other patrons. It also took 3 people to take our order, and at first they attempted to give us the someone else’s order. In the front, there is a chef who is handling and preparing food, but it did not seem to sanitary with them picking a pen, writing some notes, then touching food without washing their hands. Will not return.

I ordered a roasted goose , a tea chicken and ducks for my boy’s gathering - have to say the chicken is one of the best free ranch chicken. The goose is on the pricey side but you have to appreciate the quality of the fresh goose cs. Frozen goose.

This place is officially one of my faves and go-to for Chinese food. Omg it was so good and I dug I before I can even take a photo. The roasted duck was so fresh and not fatty. I noticed they roast in batches so there's always a fresh batch for customers. Really great portions and tasty. Not greasy and just the right amount of sauce. We had the Mongolian beef, sweet and sour pork, roasted duck, and salt and pepper pork chop. The highlight of my first visit tonight was meeting the owner and chef. So welcoming and charming towards my family, chatting and joking with us while we waited for our takeout. I wanted to try this place because I was considering them for catering a party. I'm officially sold and can't wait to use them as our caterer. I'll post pics to my post the next time I'm there.

Was in the restaurant today for lunch and it was packed. Don't know if new owners is the causes of it. As for some who commented that the older lady is no longer there, it's not true. She said she was on vacation. The place has an indoor facelift. It's not as dark as before and cleaner looking.

My go to place for duck and roast pork. When I'm having a bad day ordering the Peking duck just makes it all better. It's a big order with buns and shrimp chips and green onions so you can make great sandwiches! I usually just get take out here if I'm too tired of cooking.

Came here mid-September 2023. They got rid of the take-out only wooden wall and opened up the dining room again. They may have also changed owners recently as there's a notification for change of alcohol license for the restaurant due to change of ownership posted at the door. You'll only see the sign if the front door is closed. The owner(s) "remodeled" the place with new paint and brighter lights. Gone is the fish tank by the back wall and replaced with a TV. Same main workers and cooks. Prices have gone up $2-$5 depending on the entree but on par to the other Chinese place next door and along Taravel street. Overall, food still tastes good like before and you really can't go wrong here. I always worry how things will be after a remodel. Business hours also changed. Now they open 7 days a week and closes an hour later at 8pm. They also started taking "Tap to Pay" method so it comes in handy on days i've left my wallet at home.

Last 2x has been back to usual. Cold to lukewarm duck. The side sauce is small size again and mainly just duck grease. Just your average duck place. Change in ownership notice is backup? Virtually no customers in dining area.
