Such a well-balanced, delicious meal before venturing through Golden Gate Park. The tamale underneath all the fresh toppings is so delicate and soft. And look how beautiful it all is! Super cute indoor space and outdoor parklet.

The food is excellent. Flavors are perfect. Has sesame oil. Eggs are perfectly boiled. Refreshing and savory.
Gets crowded and can be hard to get seating. I've always managed it with a group though.

The menu is very small and I myself did not like the bowl at all but I could see that it probably is just not my thing. It had a strong nuttiness but was also fairly spicy. I skipped the egg cause they can’t boil it hard - only “jammy.”

My favorite restaurant in the city by far. Everything is so incredibly well seasoned, portioned, balanced - I get excited every time I have a chance to eat here :-) Also the sweetest staff ever. Thank you all for everything you do!!!!

Wow yes a 5-star place. Per everyone’s raving reviews, I got the best of both worlds bowl. It was obviously quality ingredients, beautiful, well-balanced, and crafted with a lot of care. That gets 5 stars from me. I recommend mixing everything in the bowl, letting the cabbage shreds soak up the juices from beans/sauce and have the jammy egg topped with oil be distributed throughout. I saved an egg for the end and it was pretty salty on its own. The service and atmosphere was SO GOOD too- welcoming and warm- I’d come back just for that. I appreciated the reusable utensils and containers too. Indoor and outdoor seating available but more outside than in. I enjoyed sitting down outside in the sun with my meal and a book. This place just celebrated 7 years operating and here’s to many more- cheers!

We are obsessed with their breakfast bowl Best of Both Worlds. Crisp cabbage, perfect egg, brothy beans, tamale… everything else. So fricken good. I crave it everyday

Absolutely loved my food - high quality ingredients
Loved the ‘best of both worlds’ bowl — felt like a warm hug on a windy day. The location and atmosphere is lovely and you can feel the love put into each bowl.

I got the deluxe best of both worlds bowl and I am still dreaming of it— I don’t live it the city so I will have to do my best to recreate a version at home! The flavors and textures were everything I wanted from a brunch bowl

This is the best food in the world. Every ingredient is perfect on its own and the way things are put together into bowls is out of this world. I bring all my out of town visitors here and every single person has been blown away. Sometimes I come multiple times a week because the food is so delicious and I feel so good after eating it. I’m so grateful to have this establishment in the neighborhood - I hope they stay around for a long, long time. Additional bonus is the folks who work there are all super friendly!

I am not a vegetable person, never have been, but I LOVE this place and will eat all of the veggies in my bowl when I go. Kind folks running it, excellent food and flavors, the only downside is limited seating when the weather is not great. A fantastic hidden gem tucked away in a random part of the neighborhood.
