May2025 No frills counter style servings which is what you should expect in SFO Chinatown. The food to a certain extent is old style of making traditional Chinese fare. What turns people off is often the prices but this is SFO.
One must manage one's expectations and dine here within the proper context of immigrants catering to tourism.
First impressions is (am I in the right place?) looked around there’s not much space inside the menu is a little overwhelming. I asked how much was something the older lady said two items with rice $8, I responded with “I would just like a small order of rice and vegetables” she scooped it on a plate and said $8. Not sure if I was cheated out my other portion or not since I was hungry and it was lunch time I went ahead and paid it. The communication on ordering could be better but thank god the food was good.
It's cash only. Very tasty food compared to DC. I enjoy the privacy. Yes we'll come back in the future
Dumplings and Bao were both given cold and stuck together. Donut heated in the microwave. Blech. Wrong change given by $7, had to argue to get the correct amount.
We had the BBQ bun, ShuMai and Chicken Dumplings, all excellent! A bit of a language barrier, but that was on us. Cash only, but soooo yummy!
No frills, no fuss. I think this is why some of the reviews, but if you're looking for authentic dim sum... this is the place. We ate in and while we were there, plenty of locals came and went for their food. Great food. We took some to-go, and came back the next day for more.
Definitely worth checking out.
Was my first time in Chinatown and communication wasn't easy but the ladies were very nice and understanding. The food was amazing too.
The prices are simply great but food is even better. I did not expect to find a spot this good and will go back to get me some more dim sum.
Great soup and din sum, the steamed buns are delicious 😋

I wanted to like this place but is very much a case of “you get what you pay for”
Shrimp dumping wrap was super thick; chicken feet gummy texture; and shui mai was uninspiring. Worst of all, everything was cold even though the steamer looks on
But hey - it’s cheap tho
