4 Best Caribbean Restaurants near San Gabriel

“Was in the neighborhood and saw this place so we went and tried it. The place is located in the Blossom Market Place next to San Gabriel Mission. There is plenty of parking off the street or public parking lots. Now to the foods. We ordered the jerk chicken and the curry chicken with rice and the famous Jamaican beef patty(their version of empanadas). The Jerk chicken was good but not enough robust flavor compares to other Jamaican restaurants. The curry chicken was good but again, way to water down for preference. However, the beef patty was tasty and made fresh as you order them. Wish that the crust could be a bit more crispy. Order at the counter and pick up your food or wait about 10 minutes pending on how busy they are. It’s a bit pricey for all the entrees.“

“Grabbed a roti wrap to go. The place was very quiet. The service was really fast. I think it’s better for take away. And the roti wrap was really good. We got the vegetarian roti wrap. The slaw in there was perfect to cut through the richness. It wasn’t heavy and the roti wasn’t greasy. Great wrap/sandwich.“

“I went here for my birthday dinner with friends. I’m late on the review but the food, drinks, and service were top tier. This place is on my list to go back to. Everything was freshly prepared with great portions. We all took food home! They definitely didn’t let me down on my special day!!!“
