I used to come here regularly for the roast duck but the last three times I have come here, the quality of the ducks have been inconsistent at best. There has been a very gamey and tough quality of the meat and it makes me wonder whether they're using expired or frozen meat.

Additionally when I order the whole duck, I've noticed that the chopped up portion is significantly smaller than the whole duck. I have a suspicion that they're secretly taking a portion out and giving it to the customers that are ordering duck over rice. I was a long term customer but definitely won't be coming back here again. There are better duck places in the SGV.

This wonton is probably the best in the Los Angeles area. It tastes really good, but the pork inside is too rough and there are chunks of fat that haven't been shredded. The shrimps are very green, and there are three or four shrimps.
The dry-fried beef he made has a first-class taste, and the pot is strong, but the beef is not very tender without the pulp. Highly recommended place to try.

We were totally blown away by the amazing food!!!! The roast duck had super crunchy skin and buttery-soft meat, the "french-style" filet minon was a little salty but otherwise so tender and tasty, and the minced pork with string beans had just the right level of heat with a few slivers of jalapeño mixed in. Great young man with helpful descriptions and he kept up with the increasing dine-in and take-out crowd.

I ordered fried rice noodles from my hometown. It was fragrant and delicious, but there were three drawbacks. 1. Every bite I took had a vague rancid taste. At the end of the meal, I asked my companion if he felt a bit rancid. He said yes, he knew it from the beginning, and thought it was the barbecued pork leftovers (barbecued pork strips) fried in it that were broken. 2. I ordered three combinations of barbecued pork, imperial concubine chicken and duck. The barbecued pork was cut as thin as paper and tasted bad. 3. The roast duck and imperial concubine chicken were packed and put in the refrigerator before they were finished, but when I wanted to eat them the next day, there was a very strong fishy smell, so I didn’t dare to eat them. I have packaged roasted duck so many times in the past, and it doesn't smell so fishy even if I put it in the refrigerator for a few days. It feels very stale.
The service is good, and small fruits will be given before checkout, but the quality of the food itself must pass the standard.
I ordered hometown stir-fried rice noodles, which were quite delicious, but there were three major issues:

1. With every bite, there was a faint sense of a sour taste. After finishing, I asked my companion if they noticed the sour taste as well. He said yes, he noticed it right away and thought it was because the barbecued pork strips mixed in had gone bad.
2. I ordered a three-combo dish with char siu, Princess Chicken, and roast duck. The char siu was sliced as thin as paper and didn't taste good.
3. The roast duck and Princess Chicken that we couldn't finish were packed and stored in the refrigerator. However, when we wanted to eat them the next day, they had a very strong and unpleasant fishy odor, so we didn't dare eat them. I've packed roast duck many times before and stored it in the fridge for days without it developing this kind of fishy smell; it felt very unfresh.

The service was good, and they even offered some small fruits before we paid the bill, but the quality of the food itself needs to be up to standard.

I came here after a friend recommended it. I ordered hometown fried rice noodles and roasted pork triple stir-fried rice noodles. The barbecued pork tasted a bit rancid. I didn’t dare to eat the barbecued pork. It was too thin. The roasted duck was also rancid. It might have gone bad. I didn’t dare to eat it anymore. I’d better go for the roasted pork. Going to Sanhe Bar is cheaper than them and the quantity is large.

Quality has gone down so much - The roasted duck doesn't taste fresh and lack the aroma it should have. The veggie is not fresh either. One could tell the leaves and stems were wilted even before it was cooked. Worst of all, there was sand or something gritty in the rice. It was so disgusting I had to spit it out.
