MIAN Reviews
I googled "best Chinese in LA" and then this popped up as the #1 place. So we drove - and had a very good meal. However, if you expect the classic Chinese dishes, you will be disappointed. This is Shezuan, "a different animal". So no rice, no sweet-and-sour-this-and-that.
So be prepared for very spicy Szechuan food. Noodles. No rice. Try the dumplings, they were delicious. We ordered mild (1 out of 5 spice degrees) and we were burning inside (we had two separate orders...read full review

MIAN is a restaurant that offers delicious and filling noodle soups. The gold wonton soup and beef noodle soup are popular choices, with generous portions of wontons and tender beef. The restaurant has a self-service system for ordering, but staff brings the food to your table and are available to answer questions. One highlight is the abundance of vegetables in their dishes, particularly the Cheng Du-style zajiang noodles. Spice levels can be adjusted, although a higher spice level may result in a thick layer of oil on top of the soup.
The restaurant is known for its excellent spicy beef noodles, chili oil wonton, and steamed egg, which customers highly recommend. The dry noodles are thick and satisfying, and the pork dumplings with Szechwan peppers are a standout dish. The beef noodle soup is comforting, not too heavy, with tender beef chunks and bok choy. The side of ribs is also a good value, especially with extra chili.
Customers have found the spice levels to be on the lower side at times, requiring additional chili oil. The online ordering system has also been described as somewhat confusing. Overall, the restaurant's clean and warm decor, along with its helpful and attentive staff, contribute to a positive dining experience. While some customers have noticed changes in the flavor profile and consistency across locations, the restaurant remains a popular destination for those seeking tasty noodles.
