Price has gone up, quality has gone down. But hey, I'm glad they are surviving pandemic and still around.

It is sad to find out this place is gone, I was just there on 11/29 to order to go and they didn't mention anything!! I've been going to this Sam Woo since early 90s and kept going during COVID for take out even when I am living near LAX. Their BBQ duck still taste absolutely amazing and one of the best in town. I wish all the staffs are well informed and not a surprised to them.

Came on 12/01 only to find that this location has shut down. It has been here since I was a kid and now a fixture of my childhood is gone due to covid.

I come here for their roast duck and soy sauce chicken. The bbq pork is pretty good too. Their bbq section was open for take out when I went at 10 am on a Friday. Their soup noodles were also available, but other items on the menu were not available until 11:30. They wear masks and there's a sign that limits the indoor space to 4 customers. They accept credit now, which I don't think was always the case.

My family really loves this restaurant because the food they serve there is really phenomenal. Also the prices are really cheap, which is a good thing. If the food quality is very good with a good price, it's worth it to go back there. Recommend this place if you want Cantonese food. Update 11/30 sad that this restaurant is closing due to financial problem. Today is the last day of the restaurant open before it completely shut down

I'm so disappointed with this place. We live about 30 minutes away, so we called to place our order for pick up. Unfortunately, it seems like they didn't start making our food until we got there. We waited another 40 minutes just to get our dish... To make things worst, they gave us expired BBQ Pork in our yang chow fried rice. IT STANK!!! I'm thankful you're still in business during this pandemic, but I've never been so disappointed. We live so far, and weren't going to drive back to return the food... so we ended up picking it out. Thanks for nothing.

My family and I used to come here for lunch or dinner everytime we visit LA. My favorite is the salt pepper fish. Price range $8 or more, serve large portion. However, don't expect too much on their customer service.

This place is like the classic restaurant chain for Hong Kong cuisine. You can order what I consider my staples in HK meals: the crunchy seafood noodles, the beef chow fun, and wonton soup. The dry noodles are my go to. There's so much flavor and that I find myself craving more all the time. When my family doesn't have time to cook or make a meal, we can count on Sam Woo to deliver meals that are good for the soul.

There's a lot that's wrong with 2020, and this restaurant is one of them. The staff working the take out section are blatant racists. My black friend was craving bbq duck and chicken, so I decided to take him here to get take out. As soon as we entered the restaurant, everyone working (especially the older cashier woman) gave my friend the death stare. They gave us a difficult time when we were ordering, and when we went to pay for our order, the cashier treated us like we were unwelcome, nor could she understand that my friend had given her a debit card and that he needed to enter his pin number on the keypad. She ran his card three times and kept pressing random numbers instead of allowing him to enter his pin number that his card got blocked and became frozen (so now he has to contact his bank), and he ended up having to pay cash. The cashier treated him like he couldn't afford to be in there, even though my friend was wearing a dress shirt and dress pants for work. We ordered $100 worth of food to go, and the way the staff treated us is disgusting. The way they made my friend feel is heartbreaking. That blatant racism and discrimination is thriving here (and no effort to hide it) is shameful, especially considering the employees are predominantly immigrants. PLEASE DON'T SUPPORT THIS RACIST RESTAURANT. Establishments like this need to disappear. Clearly, they haven't learned anything over the last few months. We are NEVER COMING BACK.

Considering there aren't many Canto style BBQ spots in the area, I'd expect this place to be a hidden gem but unfortunately the food does not live up to the expectations. Too much rice and too little meat. The meat is either too dry or too salty. Talked to the locals, Seems like it used to be very good but now quality has declined.

The dry beef flat noodle is extremely bad. BBQ pork is the only thing that is good. Roast duck skin is soggy. Just don't order from kitchen

Don't care how good the food and drinks are. When I see the cashier whose handling cash also handling food and drinks without using hand sanitizer or gloves, automatic 1 Star. They touched the inside container and put food inside. You wanna kill someone and their family or friends with covid19?
