Surprisingly plentiful of options for the lunch buffet. The food tasted good too, not too heavy, and reasonably priced for the platter.

Recently had a take out. The order was bombay sandwich, peshawari naan, paneer biriyani. Only biriyani was good, but sandwich is extremely underwhelming. Peshawari naan stuffing included red dyed sweetened coconut which had extremely unpleasant chemical flavor of food dye.

Food used to be really good here. It's now bottom of the barrel Indian food. Quality on ingredients went away down hill.

Buttered chicken- sauce is still decent. Chicken quality terrible. I think they're just buying frozen boneless chicken. There's no dark meat like there used to and it tastes like they boiled the chicken then tossed it in sauce.

I will probably try again in a year to see if they improved.

Extremely disappointed in what used to be a great Indian restaurant.

8Elements in San Jose is known for its flavorful Indian cuisine, offering a variety of dishes such as butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken, and goat curry. The restaurant also features a lunch buffet with rotating selections. Many diners recommend the Mysore masala dosa, papri chaat, and garlic naan. While most reviews are positive, some note that the service charge for larger parties can add up. Overall, 8Elements offers a great selection of affordable, well-prepared dishes in a casual setting

Vada sambar was fresh, crispy and hot. Right amount of sambar and chutneys. Goat curry was exquisite and the meat was tender. Plain naan and garlic naan were good. Felt the gobi manchurian was on the sweeter side with lot of tomato sauce. Enjoyed the fried rice also. Overall good experience and prices are very reasonable.

Ordered a take out. Astonished (in a bad way) see the quantity and quality. Ras malai was a small plastic box with just a thin layer of milk floating around. Nothing else!
Never going back!

"We had a fantastic breakfast at this Indian restaurant! The dosa combo was absolutely delicious—crispy dosas paired perfectly with the tangy sambar and coconut chutney. The bread combo was equally impressive, with warm Batura and poori and flavorful parathas that complemented the rich curries. Every bite was a delight! Can't wait to return for more!"
Highly recommended.

Kid-friendliness: "Had an awesome time at this restaurant! The staff was super friendly and made us feel right at home. The kids loved the fun menu options. Can't wait to come back for more family lunch and dinners!"

I went to 8elements with my family, they received us warmly and the staff in particular are very friendly, helpful in ordering, service especially my 3 year old nephew loved kids choclate dosa with fries and mango lassi. In addition, we loved having Mysore masala dosa, goat curry and special menu item chicken ghee roast along with mutton coconut masala with kal dosa which were awesome. We will surely visit again to try those items. Highly recommend you guys try it..!

The customer service in the door (bald with the glasses) was very unprofessional. When I’m about to pick up the food he pretends he didn’t see anyone. The cook has to step in and take care of my order. When he saw his coworker helping me that’s the time he acted he want to help. Very nosy with your life story too.
