Popular poke place in San Jose known for their poke nachos, poke bowls and homemade Hawaiian sweets. Fun fact but their ahi is freshly flown from Hawaii and prepared on the same day. I’ve never seen a poke place have their own milk teas and butter mochi (which I’ll come back to try another time). They have a wide variety selections for the poke bowls including garlic butter scallops, take (octopus), their usual ahi and salmon while having unique sides not found at other stores.
I got the poke lover bowl for $20 (2 poke selections and 2 sides) with spicy ahi and kakui nut ahi, and Mac salad and imitation crab for sides. Although their bowl may look small, they pack their bowls with rice and poke. Their ahi was amazing – it’s like the filet mignon of the sea. The ahi doesn’t need to be chewed because melts in your mouth! The spicy ahi was my favorite because it had spice that snuck up on me while having great spicy mayo flavor. The kakui nut came with onions and was similar to traditional ahi at other stores.
Mac salad was on the saltier side but I prefer it because it makes the bowl more flavorful. The imitation crab is lighter on the mayo so the sweetness from the imitation crab is more prominent.
Despite being extremely busy, staff provided great and friendly service. I would definitely come back and get the spicy ahi while trying other flavors and their desserts!

It was a cloudy Tuesday afternoon, when my partner and I decided we wanted poke. There is a fierce debate about where is the best poke in the bay, but I think Aloha Fresh has secured my vote. We got two orders of the poke nachos as well as two additional sides of poke as I really wanted to try some of their various flavors. We got the Smokey Pokey and Spicy Salmon for our nachos and then we tried the Ginger Scallion Ahi as well as the Garlic Mayo Scallops. Everything was delicious and there’s nothing I would do differently. The service was also great as the guy helping out gave his recommendations and was super chill.

Got the poke lover with scallops and spicy salmon. Reminds me of Hawaii…very fresh! Plenty of food for me. Also got the lilikoi mochi. If you like mochi, this was delicious. Would 100% come back next time I’m in SJ area. Only issue was lack of seating but we found a bench outside to sit and eat.

BEST POKE NACHOSSS

It was a very busy line to get poke, but it was worth it imo.
Would’ve gave them a full 5 stars, but when their spicy salmon poke was out, it ended up holding the line for a good 10-15mins to catch up on orders. But then when the spicy salmon poke was ready, there was a whole group of people waiting for it, and it was a whole mess. Some people paid for their bowls already, and then some didn’t. So when they were making everyone bowls, they had no ideas who is who’s bowl; as they are not labeled, and employees started handing out bowls without anyone knowing who’s is who’s. Ended up getting a bowl I didn’t order, and I didn’t realize until I already left. So for future, I’ll reccomend them to label the bowls with their name or something, if they have people waiting for a thing that is out.
But about the food itself, it was really good, the poke tasted very fresh and every side was really good. I was suppose to get a spicy salmon and like ahi tuna or something, but ended up getting like double scoop wasabi spicy salmon or something, with ocean salad and crab and ginger . But ended up because good anyways. The poke is def on the pricier side, it’s was $21 dollars for mine and it wasnt a crazy amount of portion. But the poke did def taste fresher than other poke places.

Ordered chicken musubi and two different poke nachos. Tasty food but not the friendliest service. Even after placing cash into the tip jar there was no “thank you.” I could tell they wanted us to hurry and select what we wanted. Didn’t greet us with more than “do you have any questions?”. Told them we had just been to Hawaii and were craving poke nachos and they had no response. Awkward to say the least. I wouldn’t say they were “rude” per se—more just lacking service industry training.

One of the best and most authentic poke I have had so far in California. Been getting some since 2017 or 2018. Love their kukui nut ahi tuna and salmon.

Tried Aloha Fresh in Japantown for lunch for the 2nd time. Initially ordered Aloha Bowl with Korean Fried Chicken—flavor was solid but way too salty for me. The 2nd visit, I swapped it for the Garlic Chicken and that hit way better: tender, savory, and balanced. The bowl came with fluffy rice, creamy mac salad, and some tangy namasu that really cut through the richness.
Quick service, chill spot, good portions. I’d go back—just sticking with the garlic next time.

I ordered the Aloha Bowl w/ Korean fried chicken, white rice, mac salad, and namasu online. The textures and flavors were mostly great. The sauce on the chicken was too salty. I'd prefer a spicy or sweeter option. However, i would like to try the rest of the menu.
