One of the must try restaurants I was looking forward to due many recommendations from friends. Upon arrival in late afternoon, we were seated right away. There were plenty of space, tables, and nice ambiance to talk in. Our group all ordered the Bun Bo Hue. The unique thing that came along was a small plate of spice and shrimp paste to adjust the flavor to your liking, which I thought was a nice touch. On first taste, the dish was flavorful, soup was on the sweeter side, and there was a generous amount of meats and noodles underneath. I ordered a nice strong coffee and sugar cane juice to finish the nice meal as well. I would definitely recommend and come back again if I'm back in the area.

Come here if you want the best bun bo hue and pho! We eat here like once a week. They are super nice! Cash only.

I believe this place is cash or debit card only. Please make sure to bring either source of payment, food is good! I appreciate the variety of Vietnamese herbs/veggies. It is usually busy but never had an issue with getting a table. The parking lot is small so beware of that.

Best bun bo hue I've ever had. I love my mom's bun bo hue and it's what I'm used to but coming here, I felt like this was the proper and most traditional way to do it (more condiments than we had at home atleast). BE WARY OF THE PIZZLE. I googled pizzle, it's bull penis. should've googled it before I ordered.

Absolutely amazing - I love this place!! The best bun Bo hue in the Bay Area hands down - broth is flavorful and they have additional chili sate oil, shrimp paste, and fish sauce on the side to add. They are very generous with the portion sizes (noodles & garnishes) and service is friendly and quick. Prices are definitely a bit pricey but 100% worth it for the quality. Keep in mind that this is debit/cash only (Apple Pay debit is okay)

Came in for dinner with my fiancé's family as I have never had Bun Bo Hue and they said this place is pretty authentic and tasty... well it should be given the name of the place! Service is fast and quick and the location is pretty clean. My only complaint is the homelessness that surrounds this area... would be a little nicer experience not have them right next to the front door, but not sure what you can do about that. Ordered the #1 which was flavorful and balanced... i really like it. I also ordered a hot tea which came in a massive cup and was really good. Note that if you don't finish it, they do charged 50 cents for a to go container. Parking can get busy as this is in a strip mall, but when we arrived there was still plenty, but I'm Sure on a busy weekend or holiday this place can get packed.

Good solid bbh. Honestly I kind of expected a bit more for a San Jose joint, but still good nonetheless. They seem to be quite busy but still very fast and prompt service. Don't forget it's cash only

Great service!! We always come here for a good bowl of bbh!! Too bad they don't deliver, would love to be able to order and get it delivered, but it's ok, will still come here for their bbh!

Food is not bad, but employees are bad. Lady at cashier was nice but people in the kitchen look miserable and angry. Tall viet guy with the mark on his right cheek taking orders was really rude. Am I the asshole asking for spicy sauce for a Togo purchase? I ordered two orders of the bun Bo hue noodle soup and asked for two spicy sauce and the lady was so sweet she said yes. So I'm waiting for my order I didn't know how their system is for Togo items but the lady from the back set my food on one of the tables and expected me to know it was mine. I didn't grab it because of course I thought it would be rude if I touched someone's else food so I just continue to wait. The same lady poked her head out and pointed to the food and gave me an ugly look and said it was mine. So okay I opened up the bag to check for everything and noticed only one sauce. I kindly asked the tall guy since he was the only one on the floor if I can have another. He looked at me and said "NO!" I chuckled and thought oh he must be jokingly saying that because what?! I can't have sauce to go with my order? Just spent 40 bucks and he literally told me 5 or more times no! And that it's expensive and that it's not for sale!!! Repeating it over and over. Is this a joke? I even asked to pay for it and he said no! Is this how you treat a paying customer? So you're telling me your food is not expensive but your little sauce is too expensive to give a paying customer?!! I was with my son who is three years old and I felt like he really didnt care to make it right and took my money. Had I known if he was a D, I would never give my money to this business. Unfortunate I paid for my food already before all this happened. Never giving my money to this kind of service. Jerk! If this guy is the owner he needs to work on his customer service skills. Dont yell at customers and toddlers!

I was in the neighborhood so I decided to call in to place a "to go" order. Their BBH is always solid. The lady over the phone was very pleasant to speak with and my orders were ready in 15 minutes. The orders were packaged well and nothing spilled on my 45 minute drive home.

Viet foods will always have a place in my heart, and this place is one of the places that serve good foods. Bun Bo Hue is on fire, the portion is good and the taste is very good. Service is alright but I'm here for the food so no judge in that. Overall 8.5/10.

Bún bò Huế is good. The meats were really fresh and soft. The broth was more on the sweeter side. This place is well organized and the hosts was super cool.

Man this place is amazing. Im from SF, so it's hard to find really good Vietnamese food in the area. But I got a bun bo hue to-go and it was delicious and probably my favorite one as of right now. As their name says it, the BBH (Bun Bo Hue) is a must to order. To be fair, I don't have many other places to compare it to and all the BBH places in San Francisco are kinda mid. But this place was great. The broth was tasty, clean, the fish cakes were in big pieces, the pork blood was seasoned really well, and overall, it was one hell of a good noodle dish. I was happy overall and would gladly come back again.

This shop sells for cash and raises the price to Hoai. Now it's nearly $20 a bowl, but he asked for a little more bean sprouts and a little chili, but he didn't want to give it. Vegetables are given very little so you can eat more vegetables at an additional charge of $3, a small jar of chili is $2. Trading also requires a little bit of heart. That's only for a long time.
