Black Angus is not what it used to be. We got the dinner for 1 for my teenage boy and the dinner for 2 for me and my husband. First, it took way too long to get drinks. The crab cake appetizer was obviously a frozen patty and gross/pale looking. The shrimp cocktail tasted mealy. The garden salad was nothing special, but fine. But the STEAKS! They had ZERO flavor. My husband liked his prime rib, so that is a plus. But my ribeye was completely flavorless, even after adding salt and pepper. The amount of food you get is a really good deal, but getting a lot of mediocre food isn't saying much. I won't be going back, which is a shame because B.A used to be a nice place to go for a steak.
Quality food, steak particularly, and not "too" overpriced. Reasonably! Very busy at 6...7pm Saturday night, reservation is the key!
It was my husband's birthday. We had a great time. The food is great! Our favorite dish is Bone-in RibEye with sides: Wedge Salad & baked potatoe. He got a dessert for his birthday with the candle so we were able to sing happy birthday. We love that!!! THANK YOU!!!
Great food, great value, and great hard working servers . Our last server was named Jewel who made sure our meal was perfect
The steaks at this Black Angus location (on Blossom Hill Rd, in San Jose) are prepared by people who know what they're doing! Always perfect and delicious — as good or better than any steak I've ever eaten anywhere else, including the more expensive fancier steakhouses. And the service is consistently excellent. And that's why we eat here almost every week.
The steaks used taste better and was tough too has a fake bbq taste my as if they use some type of seasoning to do that
Black Angus is our favorite go to restaurant. It is usually perfect but last night, everything was off. We ordered pre-dinner drinks and the server took our dinner order immediately. we assumed that they would pace the dinner. Drinks first, salads, entrees and wine with the entries. We received the salads within minutes and when the steaks were delivered before even pre-dinner drinks. We got pretty unhappy. They finally brought the drinks half way through the entries and then brought the bottle of wine. We told them not to even open the wine, and brought it home to drink. On top of that, my wife's "medium" steak was blood rare. We would have sent it back but didn't want to wait 30 minutes to get it cooked more. She ate it with her eyes closed. We love you Black Angus Blossom Hill, but you blew it last night. Hope you do better. We recommend you often to our friends but are hesitant now.
After 30 years this is now the last Black Angus in our area which makes me said. I come here often. The truth is only 30 percent of the time I get my rip eye cooked the way I like it. I know it is difficult but I want really chard medium. I mean black. Now that they took away the best mud pie in the country I wonder if I will come back.
Reservation was for 7pm but we got seated 7:50pm was disappointed due to seating time. Our server was also very slow to service our table. Server had to serve too many tables lacking service is unacceptable.
Ordered the bbq chicken and ribs. Ribs were ice cold. Server took it back and brought it back. Had not realized it was raw. Still paid for it after bringing it to her attention. A good service would have offered another rib or remove it from bill.

“The poke here tastes fresh and clean every time. The salmon is so tender and the veggies are always crisp. Thank you Chef Judy
Always a great experience every time we dine in. Foods delicious and service is always great!! My husband and I love it here for a random date night.
We've always enjoyed Black Angus over the years. Just sad that we only have in the immediate Bay Area to go to now since all the others have closed.
This restaurant is truly impressive with its atmosphere and décor. The staff are very friendly, and the chef himself presented the dish, which was a nice touch.
The food was good and of suitable quality, but what really stood out was that the value matched the price. I ordered the $41 set menu and received a soup, salad, appetizer, steak entrée, and dessert, plus their complimentary brown bread and butter.
I left completely satisfied — the value was more than fair.
I will definitely come back for this unique offer!

Great food for great value! Thank you Jennifer for serving us and being so energetic despite how late it was. Unfortunately, we had missed our 7.15pm booking and didn't get seated till a whole hour later. Other than that, we really enjoyed the food and the quality of it.
